really?
in context or content the first would be verses 2-6 and the second would be verse 7
Monotheism = one God.
Jewish monotheism - one person, the Father.
The earliest Christians were Jewish monotheists. Like Jesus himself, their God is the Father and none other.
I wish that there weren’t such a thing as trinitarian monotheism but there is.
That’s right.
That would be Jewish monotheism.
That would be trinitarian monotheism.
If you haven’t already, you should take something for it.
The Trinity isn’t the Messiah’s God.
How do you understand the Holy Spirit?
Does it matter?
Does it matter?
Why don't you tell us, then we can take it from there.
The Egyptians were big on making statues and carvings of their freak show "gods"..:)

You asked, I answered. As you can see from any itemized chart, you would be in error Faith.
I told you they are not easy to pick out, but they are there. Of course the people it was primarily given to understood them fully, and now that we live in the last days when God's word of truth is rapidly being revealed, all we have to do is Google 10 Commandments and we can see an itemized chart. In fact I did that just the other day and here is what I found sir, I give it to you as it helped me in answering your question, perhaps it will help you as well:itemized chart? Is that part of scripture alone?
according to ex 20 it don’t say there are ten or which one is which!

The 10 Commandments
1. You shall have no other God’s before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy.
5. Honor your father and mother.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shall not bear false witness.
10. You shall not covet.
If that isn't arrogance I don't know what is.Is there any other?
Aah Faith, now I see where you are coming from. I see why you questioned number 2. Like I said from the beginning, they are not easy to pick out. Jehovah's witnesses lump the last two together as the Google list I posted did. You may very well be correct in your accepting the Orthodox way, I honestly do not know. The tablets may exist today, but they're location is unknown to us. The only way to know for sure is to look at the tablets themselves. I am glad I understand the reason for your post sir.Google must be Protestant
That’s a Protestant list
here’s the orthodox version
1) I am the LORD your God: you shall not have strange Gods before me.
- 2) You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
- 3) Remember to keep holy the LORD'S Day.
- 4) Honor your father and your mother.
- 5) You shall not kill.
- 6) You shall not commit adultery.
- 7) You shall not steal.
- 8) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
- 9) You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
- 10) You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.
If that isn't arrogance I don't know what is.

But, taking it word for word, it just says we aren't to make images of anything. We do it all the time with TV, photographs, etc.:
"... or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth"
I've never understood that.
More catholic mumbo jumbo
