Can I please get some prayers?

The specialist for my cystic fibrosis is trying me out on stomach enzymes. If I need them than it may fix my stomach problems, if not she said the worst thing that will happen is I will get cramping. Thanks for any prayers. I would like discernment as to whether or not I need them along the process of trying them out.

I think what is happening is that I'm getting an overgrowth of stomach bacteria. I looked it up online for CF and it sounds about right for the symptoms that I'm experiencing.

If per chance you are getting what I used to call an attack on occasion, which is a tightness in the chest, and it travels up into your jaws then yes it is the bacteria. Drinking milk quickly as to cause belching relieves it. To fix it, 2 weeks of antibiotics(strong) plus pepto(pink) for your stomach. Back in the 80's I put myself on a trial and it worked. It brought the numbers back down. Hope you find this useful.

I remember a wonderful little girl with Cystic Fibrosis I used to take to Sunday School, my neighbor's granddaughter. She had to take stomach enzymes also, so I guess that's a known side effect of CF. I do pray you don't get the stomach cramping. (They had to throw away the rug after she moved back with her mother.)

Thanks Lambano. I have atypical CF so it's not bad but symptoms can develop later in life. I'm not sure if my stomach problems are related but we're going to find out.

I've decided that I'm not sure I need the stomach enzymes. They have a test they can give me in a month to check to see if I need them. Maybe I'll wait till then.

Why don't you try probiotics? probiotics help give you friendly bacteria as opposed to bad bacteria.

Last time I tried them I just got a lot of gas, I have an overgrowth of bacteria already. I don't know if I want to add any more, although there is an article that says it may help.
