I hold that the Apostolic gifts ceased to be given to individuals, as no modern day prophets and Apostles in our midst, but how does that mean God Himself cannot still do certain things to confirm the Lord Jesus and his Gospel today?

many missionaries have stated that at certain times when they came in to a region where Gospel rarely if ever exposed, they have had people greet them stating had a dream telling them to watch out for man of the book coming to them!

Do not see any gifted as they were to heal, do miracles,to speak in tongues and prophecies, or to expound revelation from God, but the remainder of the gifts still in effect!

It is the belief that the charismatic gifts (at least, the "weirder" ones)
- prophesied in Mark 16:17-18,
- exhibited throughout Acts and described in
- 1 Corinthians 12,
- Romans 12, &
- Ephesians 4

As you will note, when taken in context this applies to believers who have the indwelling Holy Spirit. However, when it comes to the salvation of souls, Christ can certainly confront individuals personally. He had done so in the past, and is doing so right now.
Christ could not tell people how to be saved after His death and ress. b/c of what we read in (2Cor. 4:7).
2Co 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels...
The Treasure = The Gospel
Earthen Vessels = Man
Heavenly Vessels do not tell men how to be saved today b/c of (2Cor.4:7) and (2Tm. 2:2).
Men teach men (Mt 28:18-20) (1Cor.1:21)
Jesus did not tell Paul how to be saved on the road in (Acts 9).
Paul was sent to a man named Ananias (3 days later) (Acts 9:9).
Ananias told Paul what he MUST DO to be saved (Acts 22:16).

Usually those of us who are under the ceasing banner would still see many of the gifts still given by Hod and in operation, just not the so called signs and wonders ones!

The bible is an imperfect copy of the original, perfect, and inspired manuscript. Together with and under the guidance of God, one will see exactly what God wants them to see. Trust God, not man.
We worship the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, not the Father, the Son, and the Holy Bible. People need to realize that just because you haven't seen God move in a certain way, doesn't mean He doesn't do that anymore.
Trusting in the word and not the Spirit is a way to have God and keep control at the same time.
Humanism is any thought or idea that originates in the mind of man.
Ultimately, I believe cessationism is a lie from the enemy designed to decrease the power of the church. To a certain degree, he has succeeded.
The word "church" means "a house of a lord." The church is a man-made institution. The word that was replaced by the King James translators is "congregation," which comes from the Greek word, "ekklesia." It takes the focus from God in us to us in a building. This too has satanic origins. A.K.A. the heart of man.
The love for tradition and comfort has led the body to some very dark places. Just like the parallel nation. Do you think there's a connection? President Trump was right. Shalom.
