16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Rev. 13 mentions that the false prophet will cause people to receive the mark, not the political beast.Other chapters in Revelation goes on to identify the people who will refuse the mark as keeping God's commandments, so that debunks any notion that the mark is a tangible object of any kind.

As of now- Chip implants are not the mark! that will come at a minimum of 7 years from now!
