We never thought we'd see the day, but it's come: we're working together with the Christian Coalition. You read that right—the Christian Coalition has joined everyone from Google to MoveOn to the Gun Owners of America in the fight for Internet freedom. The momentum is on our side.
This is one where the lefties have it right in more ways than one. This is a real serious matter IMHO given the forces at work both here in America and abroad.In a very simplified nutshell, the major corporations: AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Time Warner, and others want more control of the internet. They want the ability to decide which websites get better quality connections and which websites they can block altogether. The implications of this are quite obvious. Places such as CB, other Christian websites, and small business websites can be wiped off of the face of the internet.I realize some may argue well this allows some of the crude content that we see on the internet, and that is certainly true to an extent. However, imagine an internet where no Christian sites can afford to run. I'd rather have a net where we have Christian websites and places to share God's wonderful message than to not have them at all.This is a serious matter and I recommend you take the time when you can to educate yourself about it. Contact your Representatives and Senators as well.
