Would it of been sinful had someone squashed it?Nahh, everyone left it be.
If it was there by God's providence as a sign, then a definite maybe.Would it of been sinful had someone squashed it?
How would one discern either way?If it was there by God's providence as a sign, then a definite maybe.
I think it would be better not knowing than risking offending God.How would one discern either way?
Can God actually be offended?I think it would be better not knowing than risking offending God.
I have no doubt that GOD can use any part of His Creation in blessing us.I think it would be better not knowing than risking offending God.
Some examples of things offensive to God.Can God actually be offended?
What do you think the context of the above texts are?Some examples of things offensive to God.
Isaiah 66:3-4
"3But whoever sacrifices a bull
is like one who kills a person,
and whoever offers a lamb
is like one who breaks a dog’s neck;
whoever makes a grain offering
is like one who presents pig’s blood,
and whoever burns memorial incense
is like one who worships an idol.
They have chosen their own ways,
and they delight in their abominations;
4so I also will choose harsh treatment for them
and will bring on them what they dread.
For when I called, no one answered,
when I spoke, no one listened.
They did evil in my sight
and chose what displeases me.”
The disobedience of God's people had caused him to look unfavorably upon their sacrifices. The people thought that their sacrifices would be accepted regardless. They would have been accepted had they shown true contrition and humility.What do you think the context of the above texts are?
I would think He would be pretty thick-skinned by now.Deeply.
You didn't ask if God is easily offended, but if he can even take offence. Surely he is slow to anger. Psalm 103:8. Also 1 Corinthians 13:5I would think He would be pretty thick-skinned by now.
You see Him as easily offended?
Patience and long-suffering are part of the fruit of the Spirit.
Godly character.
1 Corinthians 13:4-6 NIV
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy,
it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Because of sin, we are all desperate!!!I would think He would be pretty thick-skinned by now.
