It is fair to say that money issues play a huge part in the difficulties that alot of marriages face...especially nowadays with the economy the way it is. But that is no excuse to succomb to it's pressures because the Greater One lives within us and supplies all of our needs if we would only trust Him to be our source. Lasting relationships are sustained by the promises of the cross.

The most successful marriage and the happiest couple I've ever seen had learned this simple formula: (1) They both put Christ Jesus first in their lives. (2) He put his wife's needs and happiness ahead of his own. (3) His wife put her husband's needs and happiness ahead of her own. The result was a very happy and contented couple from whom I could literally feel the power of the Holy Spirit as soon as I was in their presence.

If finances are enough to destroy the foundation of your marraige, it was the softness of that foundation and not the finances that caused it.
