1 Corinthians 2:13
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

I suppose this could be and has been said differently, but the above verse is a great rational for our new spirit life--our new spirit being actually--and also for the need which Paul also counselled for "rightly dividing the word of truth."

Every day [here] and in the world the tenancy is to return to "the beggarly elements", the thinking of men and of the world and the flesh:

But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? Galatians 4:9

We really need to stop that.

It is such a problem, that many quite literally wage war against the Spirit--against the very nature of God, as if being spiritual as He is spirit, is bad. It's not. He is spirit and perfect...and that is His plan for us as well.
