But i am telling us this is what leavens a church . A little leaven WILL and it has LEAVEND these churches . Cause they wont correct .
ANYONE in any leadership position that will not correct sin in that church NEEDS TO STEP DOWN and go learn the bible
before they even get back up and try and lead much less teach anyone . Todays men can speak like the greatest oraters , YET
they know hardly ANYTHING about JESUS CHRIST , SOUND DOCTRINE . THEY just know how to speak well and how to allure

How many rainbow flags you see getting set up in churches ..............
How many preach all day about money money money
Or how many justify remarriage , or taking folks to court , or etc and etc .
You would be amazed at how many SIN and worse how many often make excuse for their sin instead of trying to correct them .
Also you would be amazed at how many are now believing and teaching that GOD is fine with all paths , all religoins and etc .
That is open rebellion and lies getting taught . Which is sin . The problem is most folks now call evil good and good evil

You are partly right about the fact they are busying trying to LOOK GOOD and SEEM pious and holy . THEY DO that too .

Im not sure speaking against outward sin is the way to go when there’s sin within US that they don’t address at all. The gospel message isn’t about the outside of everyone else’s cup. It’s about the inside of OURS.

I’m glad somebody finally said this. Outward sin is just the expression of the sin within our hearts. What I keep hearing is that most people on this board would be happy if those other guys would just cover-up the outward sins like it used to be.

The sinfulness that seems inside you is in your flesh, and deceives you. If you are reborn. If you are a new creation.

Have you become thoroughly understanding of Romans 6-8? Even starting at chapter 4. But especially chapter 6 when we are speaking of justification and spiritual resurrection. God gives us detailed information about what He does for us when He baptizes us into Christ. We should understand these things so we can easily discuss and understand the things taught in these chapters.

Myself, I've read these chapters many hundreds of times, and gone word by word through them, revisiting them over and over and over again.

These chapters, Colossians 2 and 3, Ephesians 4, these are some of the most detailed and explicit passages that teach us about our life in Christ, being baptized into Christ.

Galatians 5, "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit". Living "in the Spirit" comes with the admonition that we also "walk in the Spirit". I think you understand that this is speaking of the Spirit of Christ, is that right? If we live in Christ's Spirit, we are to also walk in Christ's Spirit. This shows us that we might be living "in the Spirit", and yet needing to move from "not walking in the Spirit" to "walking in the Spirit".

Being alive in the Spirit, being "in Christ", these are spiritual realities that don't always express themselves through our flesh, that's what the renewing of the mind is.

Our walk is by faith - relying on the truthfulness of spiritual realities that we cannot see - and not by sight - taking those things we see as if representing reality, the true state of our being.

How do we clean the inside of our cup, so that the outside will be clean? By coming to trust that Jesus has done that for us through sharing with us His death and resurrection. And then living according to our faith in His work on the cross. In the renewing of our minds, so we stop thinking in old fleshy ways, and begin thinking in new spiritual ways.

We are to rule over sin, and not let sin rule over us, because we are dead indeed to sin. Not that the grumblings and fussing and lusting of the flesh is stopped. Not because our fleshy bodies have become innert, and never feel anything anymore, hunger, gluttonous hunger, whatever. But because we are a new person not bound to the appetites of our bodies, as we were before Christ raised us. We are a new creation.

Just feast on that bible and learn That JESUS and all good sound holy doctrine by which the lambs shall grow .

We all have God's word to verify scripture against scripture? There will be no such excuse as well I was taught this way. The wages of sin is death individually not by group.

That sure is a good way of saying it my dear sister . But let us give even more grace
and also bring what paul himself said . Shall we continue IN SIN that grace may abound GOD forbid .
Now for the scary yet true part . DONT YE KNOW that to WHO YE OBEY his servants ye are . HIS SERVANTS YE ARE .
Whether of sin unto death or of OBEDIANCE unto RIGHETOUSNESS . Not unto sin but obeying righteousness .
Folks dont realize how serious that early church was . THey had the pure and true agape love that cometh of GOD .

The only thing that happens when you confess that same sin again, David, is that your guilt trip feels better.
But not usually the first day,.. but by day 3, you are not really concerned about it anymore..... isnt that right?
Why is that? Because you have again completed your little mental game with yourself, and now you feel better.

So.....What you said is the typical legalist idea of trying to keep yourself saved, by doing something.
See, you are teaching Fellowship with God, but the New Testament does not, as it teaches RELATIONSHIP between God and Man.= Salvation.
The NT teaches Fellowship between believers....

Try to understand that God as Christ came there not to give you "fellowship", but to give you SONSHIP RELATIONSHIP.......becoming a SON/Daughter of God.
That is completely different than "fellowship".
A born again Christian, is "ONE WITH GOD"....>"In Christ".
This does not change.

Also, God is kept at peace with the Born again, not by confessing sin, but by the Death of Christ for your sin.

When I was first born again I learned that as well as confessing my sin and seeking God's forgiveness before accepting Jesus and being given a fresh, clean start, that I should also keep 'short accounts' that is to say don't carry today's sins/misdemeanors into tomorrow but take them to God in confession - like foot washing. The rest of us may be cleaned by the Blood but we get dirty feet.
