The unforgivable sin is to reject Jesus Christ (His forgiveness) in an eternal, absolute way.

I believe it is Mt 12:36?

Jesus speaks of this unforgivable sin. The men say His works were done by the power of the devil. But it was not those WORDS that condemned them. They had rejected Christ and his forgiveness long before they uttered those words. So their words were merely a SYMPTOM of their awful condition. And they were so hardened in their rejection of Him that they were virtually incapable of repenting ... and so Jesus began speaking to us about this unforgivable sin..

which is, simply put:

rejecting Christ until death

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the only unforgivable sin. By the context the Pharisees were warned against blaspheming the Holy Spirit while they attributed works of the Spirit, that Jesus performed, to Beelzebub.

People can reject Christ for part of their life then be drawn to him later so long as they do so before they die. But if someone blasphemes the Holy Spirit and the offence is recognized as such, there is no forgiveness for that one offence ever.

This may be harsh but I believe it is due to a technicality. Since the Holy Spirit is our one connection to God in this life and he is required for or sanctification should that connection be severed how can you ask God for forgiveness? Praying would be like picking up the phone to talk after your phone has been disconnected.

I think that the Jews who stoned Stephen committed the unpardonable sin because it was the Holy spirit speaking through Stephens at the time.

Acts 10:15
15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common."
NKJV

I sometimes wonder if those that call others Heretics are doing the same thing.

It is the Holy Spirit who leads us to repent, who tells us of the truth of Jesus and our need for forgiveness. That is why it is called blashphemy of the Holy Spirit to not repent. You are wrong if you think someone can just say something "unkind" to the HS and that damns him forever.

The Catholic Church teaches that there is only one unforgivable sin and that is to reject Christ's forgiveness to the very end. And the Catholic Church is the Church Christ founded.. and there is NO other... We can believe (trust in) everything the Church officially teaches.. Other churches, forget it. They are man made

it makes no sense that someone can commit some terrible sexual immorality... kill an unborn child... and yet he will still have a chance @ salvation, while someone who merely says something is damned no matter what he does afterwards...

this is what happens when people leave the true Church (as Martin Luther did, and all anticatholics who came after him)

The 'CHURCH' is the accumulation of ALL who believe in Christ as their saviour [FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST, AND HIS WORD]. It has NOTHING TO DO WITH a specific 'RELIGION' followed by man. The world is filled with multiple faiths, denominations, beliefs, interpretations,...and so on. True Christians DO NOT CHANGE the Word of God, nor do they OWN IT. It is free to all mankind. God searches a person's HEART, and The Holy Ghost protects and directs every true believer. Roman Catholicism breaks/changes the Word of God. It is filled with EVIL.

right

Jesus establshed a Church and then said, Go ahead and change whatever u dont like about it... you can even leave & make another thing... call it a Church if u want, even though i only established ONE b/c only one is needed and b/c i do things right the first time... you dont fix perfection... but.. hey, do what u want. Your will be done, eh?

most people go to Hell... time to wake up

the unforgivable sin is to do this kind of thing until the very end... that is why the Church says we dont know who is in Heaven or Hell... b/c only God is there in the End of someone's life--only He knows whether someone was obstinate until the very end or not

we do have some clues that Hilter is in Hell... but the Church will not come out and say definitely this or that person is there...
