Should kids at school be punished for swearing? using language to bully other children? using the Lord's name in vain? How about using racial slurs or making crass homosexual references? Is this important or just liberal PC control techniques?

Washing the mouth out with soap works wonders!

However, bad language is 'in' today. Standing up for what is right--isn't. I believe that wickedness has gotten beyond our being able to stem the tide. All we can do is teach our own children how to behave righteously. They will be influenced, no doubt, which is why I am in favour of church schools or Christian schools, or even home schooling. The enemy of our souls is resident in the education system.

I agree with the enforcement of punishment for all of these accept using the Lord's name in vain. As a Christian, I revere God's name but I have to accept that some people don't even believe He is real. Even God gives everyone a choice and doesn't force himself on us, as justified as he would be in doing so. I think enforcing reverence is the same as forced belief, which is unbiblical and unconstitutional, therefore I can't stand behind it.

I wouldn't want to be forced to revere Allah or Buddha.

I learned not to say the Lord's name in vain in my Mormon's friends house

But what is the difference between not tolerating bad language and being PC?
