@Mancunian, it’s not clear to me what you are referring to here? Is it what the resurrected life will entail?

You keep making objective statements to defend your subjective conclusion. It’s really hilarious.

And now that the concept of circles exist, does it evolve?
I'm not making an objective statement, if I was you would agree.

The concept of circles is subjective as you've already pointed out. Four sides and all that lol.
It's all about opinions. Opinions of sentient beings.

We are thinkers as a species, we've invented philosophy, we've invented social construct, we are still evolving...
We have invented the concept of right and wrong, of course all of this has helped with the survival of man up to now.
We are social animals, we have a sense of what is required for our survival, but we are also territorial, we will protect our 'own' even if that means destroying those who go against us.
We are greedy and self-motivated, we are all guilty of that.
We like other animals have an in built motivation to breed, to protect our young... That's evolution in action. We have a burning question, why are we here? What is all this about? There's got to be more to life than this?
Some of us believe that there is more to life than this, some of us don't.
I'm a thinking mammal and have no problem accepting that.

I think that I've been clear...

What are Christians expecting from the eternal life that they crave?

Give me a run down of the day to day that you're all striving for.

It's not a difficult question.

I'll tell you what I'm expecting after my death. Blackness, no thoughts or feelings, not existing except in my childrens memories for a while until they die.
Ultimately I'm one of billions of animals that have lived and died.

On a side note, I've not feathered the nest of the church by purchasing a plot for my ashes. The church doesn't need my hard earned money... My kids can enjoy the fruits of my labour, and can do what they want to with my remains.

I would like to have a conversation with @Armour of God
He or she seems to be the go to poster.

I'm wondering if Armour of God thinks that he or she is somehow special and doesn't belong in any category assigned to us by scientific research?

I'm wondering if this person has anything interesting to say.

I've seen a few posts, but they haven't been directed to me.

Looking forward to his or her take on what a life of eternal bliss would look like in his or her opinion.

Of course evolution plays a part in concepts.
Neanderthals clubbing eachother over the head didn't do much for their survival, and understanding that doing that wasn't beneficial came with time.... Small lightbulb moments over many years saw the end of them and the birth of Homosapiens. We worked out that survival depended on cooperation and an ordered society.

Does God lie?

You’ve said that you’ve read the Bible and that you‘re currently re-reading it. You know that the Bible says God cannot lie. Why, then, for what purpose - it’s certainly not so that you will or might have a better life - are you asking the question?

Does God command righteous violence?

He has. You’ve read the Bible. You know that Jesus and the apostles don’t command the followers of Jesus to commit violence in response to the actions of their enemies.

Again, why are you asking the question when you already know the answer, have it in your files, and reject it?

But just before I go to bed... I've realised that Armour of God is definitely a man. I've come to this conclusion based on his misogynistic posts about women drivers.
He ignores the actual evidence that women are better drivers. He doesn't take into account that most accidents are caused by young testosterone filled men, or the verifiable evidence that insurance policies are cheaper for women.
He thinks that because men are good at Motorsports (a male dominated sport) that men are better drivers.
He doesn't follow evidence. I can't wait to hear from him.

Everything there is to know about it at this time is written in scripture. You’ve read it. You’re re-reading it. You’ve rejected it. You’re looking for someone to toss you pearls to trample.

It's not a difficult question.

That’s right.

This is a demonstration of your purpose here.

Try to answer the very simple question.

That’s right.
Nothing in scripture tells me about your expectations.
