The bad guy below that causes Daniel's AOD seen in Matthew 24:15 will be present on earth to the (Consummation) or (The Ultimate End)

Scripture clearly teaches that the event is future, and didnt take place in 66-70AD in the Roman destruction of Jerusalem, as Preterism claims

Merriam-Webster
Definition of consummation

1: the act of consummating the consummation of a contract by mutual signaturespecifically : the consummating of a marriage
2: the ultimate end : FINISH

Daniel 9:27KJV
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Matthew 24:15KJV
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

I guess it is not all over in a day. Perhaps more time than many suspect is incorporated into this consummation.

That's like Jesus didnt really walk on water, it was all staged with stepping stones in shallow water

I think there’s a little variance within partial Preterism, as there is in most systems. I think some p.p,s will be happy to look towards a future fulfilment, but still see 70AD… as indeed Antiochus E, as “foreshadowing” AOD EVENTS.
Which is not an entirely unreasonable conclusion. Historically, second temple Jews regarded Antiochus E as who Daniel was referring to…they had no doubt. But then Jesus spoke of it, making us assume there was yet another in the future. But his very discourse that pointed to that, fit the description and warnings of the destruction of 70AD, that again, historically, it’s hard to ignore it. Biblically, we can see that Paul expects a final man of sin…which lines up with other Daniel prophecies, and with Johns Revelation visions.
All in all…I’d say the idea of this event being foreshadowed by the numerous “antichrists”…of whom many have already have come…is not historically impossible or biblically unwarranted.

Daniel 9:27 in the AOD is a future event, Antiochus Epiphanies in 167BC is historical

Hi @Naomi25 John's First Epistle speaks of 'many antichrists' which are in the world.
What are you going to do with the figures below, who all represent the future (Antichrist)?

Daniel speaks of (The Little Horn) Daniel 7:8-11

Paul speaks of (The Man Of Sin) 2 Thessalonians 2:3

John's Speaks of (The Beast) Revelation 13:-5

They are not incompatible with the ref. in John's First Epistle to 'many antichrists'.

Antiochus E WAS a future event to Daniel. Clearly.
I’m not saying Daniel’s prophecy only saw A.E…I’m saying the second temple Jews DID. We know the bible has foreshadowing events all throughout it. If you’re going to state that this cannot be another one, then I think the onus rests on you to show why the second temple Jews were wrong in their belief. Why 70AD couldn’t have been a fulfilment of Matt 24, even though we have historical writings that hold out Christ’s predictions accurately.
One would imagine it an almost impossible task, and wonder why you would try and bother.

The temple was destroyed as Jesus said. Your house is left desolate.
It cannot happen now. There is no earthly Holy Place.
Jesus was speaking symbolically of the temple in his body, not a literal temple in Jerusalem

When Jesus died, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom, the temple was destroyed "Gone"

We will disagree, Daniel 9:27 is future, the bad guy will be present on earth to the (Consummation) the ultimate end

In perfect agreement with Paul's and John's accounts, as this figure is destroyed at the future second coming

Not sure you’re really getting what I’m saying.
I actually DO think it will see a future fulfilment. The NT, especially Paul and John, point to that.
I just think its also valid to say that it ALSO has multiple fulfilments. One past, one future. Both would have been future for Daniel…and he may have only seen one. We know the prophets often didn’t quite understand what they saw for various reasons…prophetic foreshortening for one. The did not foresee two seperate comings of Messiah either…what they saw looked like one coming.
All that to say…yes, future. But that does NOT discount past fulfilments that were foreshadowing events.

I Disagree, the scripture clearly states the bad guy seen in Daniel 9:27 will be present on earth at the (Consummation) the ultimate end

A claim of dual fulfillment is silenced in this fact alone, as Antiochus Epiphanies died in 164BC

When He said not one stone would be left.upon another that was the physical.temple.
He was referring to His body also as you alude to.

Matthew 24:v.9 to12

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Revelation 9:v.18 to 21

18 By these three plagues was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these three plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship (1st) devils, and(2nd) idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: - they are the Beast-the Papacy, and the woman-the Roman Catholic Church-which rides upon the Beast.

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Revelation 13:v.6 and 5;7-9
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against GOD , to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
(Yeah, they -the Papacy and their followers - will blaspheme terribly against our Lord GOD)

5 And there was given unto him -to the Pope-the Beast of sea- a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. (1st half of the last week-Rev.11:2)

7 And it was given unto him to make WAR with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (I am already fighting by a sharp Sword against that MONSTER having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. In fact, they all will be cast into the lake of fire by the Word of GOD. I do not know word more powerful than the Word of GOD that fulfill LITERALLY)

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him -the Beast-, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. (Are you hearing?)

Get ready
