Hello @Backlit,

Are you happy with your responses? Do you feel you now understand this virus better?

With love in Christ Jesus

Lol. Honestly, I'm just more convinced than ever that it's as dangerous, possibly more dangerous than the flu... Therefore not altogether worthy of the fuss... And governments are using it politically to gain advantage. Time will tell how effective that advantage will be. The more effective, the sooner the current administration of this world changes hands. The sooner the better.

If the Holy Spirit were ever completely absent from the earth, everyone would be dead.
Prior to the day of Pentecost everyone was not dead. Souls were being justified by grace through faith from Abel to John the Baptizer (and others). So it will be when Moses and Elijah preach to the Jews (primarily), but their messages go to all the inhabitants of the world. That is why the world rejoice at their execution. They hated to hear that they would need to repent.

You think the Holy Spirit was completely absent before Pentecost?

You think the Holy Spirit was completely absent before Pentecost?
No. But there was a big difference, since the Spirit could not be poured out "upon all flesh" until Christ had finished His work of redemption, and ascended back to Heaven. When the New Covenant went into effect (on the day Christ died), the promise of the Holy Spirit could be fulfilled (fifty days later on Pentecost). Those events corresponded to the feasts of Passover and Pentecost (also called the Feast of Weeks).
