Dealing with : The Body of Sin

So what is that?

That is your """old man of sin::".....its your : "flesh". Its your "unholy sensual and carnal desires".

Paul teaches that this "body of Sin" is destroyed if you are born again...., = which ""frees you from serving sin"

How does that work?

2.) Paul teaches that : "(He-She) that are DEAD, is freed from Sin".

Then you are most certainly alive......so, what part of you is "DEAD", if you are born again, and not just water baptized and religious and lost ???

A.) This part.. = ""our old man of sin, is crucifed with Christ"".....therefore : '"reckon Him DEAD""........Paul teaches.

And yes......that is : "sin consciousness".

So, how do you get rid of it, how do you put that down and keep it underfoot..... so that you are FREE from the residual effect of being a former lifetime sin loving sinner, who is now an Eternal Saint = "of the Household of God".

How do you do that?

You have to perfectly learn that you are become a "new Creation in Christ".....as "the righteousnes of God.... in Christ".

So, you have to get your MIND up THERE.. where God's power and Christ's empowering you as an overcomer.... has become YOUR daily Discipleship, your daily walk of Real FAITH.

This is talking of the sin nature we inherited due to Adam's sin. Jesus takes away the sin in our sin nature, freeing our spirit and soul from sin as we are born again of His Spirit.

Another example of the removal of sin from our nature is Christ circumcising us without hands. Note in a regular circumcision, the part cut off doesn't grow back.

Behold, your words ring with partial truth but carry the stench of deadly deception.

Yes, our old self was crucified with Christ (Romans 6:6). Yes, we are new creations in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). But if you preach that positional truth without the ongoing war in the flesh, you are selling a lie that kills souls.

Paul himself bled out the reality of this daily battle in Romans 7:14-25. The flesh is not eradicated at conversion. Sin still wars within us, pulling at the old man’s dead corpse. To claim otherwise is to hand people a spiritual narcotic that anesthetizes their conscience and destroys holiness.

You say, “work out your salvation” is just revelation knowledge, like learning to drive a car. No. It is a battle. It is fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12-13), a relentless fight to put to death the deeds of the body (Romans 8:13). It requires daily repentance, humility, and the Spirit’s power—NOT just positive thinking or “reckoning” yourself dead to sin.

You minimize grace by twisting it into a license for spiritual passivity. Grace is not cheap. Grace empowers holiness. Grace burns sin out of the heart, but only if we walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-25), confess our sins (1 John 1:9), and crucify the flesh daily.

Your call to “put on the mind of Christ” and wear the helmet of salvation is sound, but you fail to underscore the discipline, the daily dying to self, the agonizing obedience demanded of a disciple.

To those who hear this message: Do not be deceived. If you think once saved you are done fighting sin, you are not walking in truth. Hebrews 12:14 is clear—without holiness, no one will see the Lord. That holiness comes through fire, struggle, repentance, and divine empowerment.

Do not settle for a gospel that makes sanctification optional. Do not settle for a gospel that silences the Spirit’s convicting power with feel-good platitudes.

Behold, we are called to overcome (Revelation 2:7,11,17), to walk worthy of our calling (Ephesians 4:1), and to live by every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

If your teaching denies this battle, you are no friend to the Gospel or the saints.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,” yes, but that knowledge includes the cost of the Cross, the call to holiness, and the relentless fight against sin.

Repent of softening this message. Preach the whole counsel of God—both justification and sanctification, positional truth and practical obedience.

The Church needs watchmen who warn, not comforters who lull to sleep.

Jesus takes away the sin in our sin nature,

However, the Christian has to deal with it...........like this.......>"Reckon the old man dead". 'Put on the Armor of God".

The Christian has to learn how to do that........and most never do, and that is why they are "confessing sin".

Its True that Peter teaches that we have received the "Divine Nature".....However, our flesh is never going to stop trying to do what it does... so the Christian has to learn how to deal with it.

Romans 7:14-25 were those UNDER THE LAW. When? Ever since Moses gave to law to the children of Israel. Before that sin was not counted to man's account because "where there is no law there is no sin." Romans 7:9-10 "9 I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death."

Romans 7 is actually talking about "the flesh" (the sin nature) which you are very aware of. Those in the flesh cannot please God - Romans 8:8.

Romans 7:5-6 you need to take a close look at. The flesh is past tense, whereas 14-25 is present tense. Why the difference? Jesus took away our sin, and in Him is no sin. 5-6 "5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

The law is still alive and present tense for all who are still in the flesh and whom Jesus has NOT taken away their sin.

Remember Romans 8:8 above? Read the next verse which is a born again of the Spirit Christian. "BUT YOU ARE NOT IN THE FLESH but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells within you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of God, they do not belong to Christ!!!

The law is still alive and present tense for all who are still in the flesh and whom Jesus has NOT taken away their sin.

The Law is in effect for Unbelever.........Non-Christians.

While the Christian is found here........>"Not under the Law, but under GRACE".

Absolutely, my fellow teacher. But the Church doesn't know we are free, at least, those of us who have been born again of the Spirit.

Proverbs 23:7 "For as a man THINKS in his heart, so is he."

If it is pounded into your mind from the pulpit that "we will sin until we die and receive our new bodies" we will sin as we are justified to do so in our mind. We give ourselves an out by telling ourselves, "God knows we are but dust." And with that false teaching of demons who want us to believe their lie to own us, we will never seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Im often amazed at how many Forum Members, are lost inside one verse found in Romans 7.. (for LIFE)....as if that is the only verse that Paul wrote.
And they never read the rest of ROMANS.......they just learned that one verse part, and that became their failed discipleship.

They never Read Romans 4:8 where Paul teaches that God does not charge sin against a Christian, ever again.

The are stuck in...."sin, confess, repeat".......never knowing that that is NOT CHRISTIANITY.., its just the Devil's Lie that is taught as a misrepresentation of Paul's verse.

I agree and is what I also teach. The problem is many in the church, including their pastors and teachers are not born again and interpret scriptures like Romans 7:14-25 and 1 John 1:8 as their justification for still desiring to sin. They've never experienced the freedom from those desires like someone who has been filled with the Spirit of God to the brim.

So, what is it that which is "passed away", regarding the born again Christian?
Its the "old man of sin" who is "crucified with Christ".....and Paul says the born again is to = "reckon Him dead".

How do you do that ??, is the key.

You have to "walk in the Light as Jesus walks in it".

So, to walk in the LIGHT, as Jesus does, is to become and remain En-LIGHTEND, by the knowledge of God.....and to exist there, which is to put on your Helmet of Salvation, everyday, as Paul explaines.
So, What is that, exactly?
It's to understand that God's perspective of the Born again, is that you are eternally made righteous, having become "the righteousness of God in Christ", and that is your Eternal Status that can never change..
The Christian has to get that revelation, and hold unto it., as that is how you walk in the Light.

So, what does that mean?
It means that you are a born again Spirit, which is the Son/Daughter of God..... trapped inside a body and right nearby is the old man of sin that has been separated from your born again Spirit by the "circumcision that is not caused by Hands". Paul teaches in Colossians 2.
So, this means that God has performed a spiritual and eternal surgery within you, where your body is on earth, and your mind is not born again, while your REAL Self, the CHRISTian "new creation"... is in the Kingdom of God, having been translated from "darkness to LIGHT".
