Have you made the distinction of what "the breath of life" really is, when you read Genesis 6:17 and Genesis 7:15, 22 ?

What you wrote here makes me think of 1 Corinthians 15:23 where Paul speaks of "But every man in his own order"
This verse makes me think about whether or not our dearly deceased and saved loved ones are now living in eternity or still "...in the grave know nothing."?? And then we have,"to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord..."

Yes, not physically or spiritually die. Do you wonder if you and I will still be here when He comes into His Kingdom on earth? Some believe He already has but...I sure don't see that! IRl (Bbyrd speak ) it has not happened yet but it has already happened...such an enigma!

This morning I read the verse quoted above, and thought of this entry (reply#672, p34) in which you refer to 1 Corinthians 5, with the words, 'absent from the body' (2 Corinthians 5:1-10). I did respond to this, as you know (reply#676, P.34), but this verse is so relevant that I had to come back to you again and share it.

For here, in Romans 8:23, Paul says that he and those to whom he wrote, groan within themselves, 'waiting for the adoption', 'to wit', 'the redemption of our body.' That was what Paul desired, 'the redemption of our body': which takes place at the resurrection out from among the dead: when mortality puts on immortality, and corruption puts on incorruption, and we are clothed upon with our house from Heaven. That is when we enter into the Sonship that we have been called unto, for which we now have 'the spirit of adoption' (Romans 8:15) which is the 'earnest' (or guarantee) of our reception of it (Ephesians 1:13-14).

Since no one here understands their own doctrinal stance, of WHY/HOW they believe in hell, in the way that they do, I have laid it out before you.
I repeat:
If we who are saved, are going to be living IN the New heaven and New earth, death must be altogether, in all totality, eradicated.
One can and should be confident that death truly shall be no more, and no trace of it to be found anywhere, in the New heavens/earth, or anywhere else.

1. For those who believe that God gave man an eternal soul, do you also believe that upon the return of Christ, the unsaved, both dead and alive, shall be cast into hell, being punished upon Christ's return, by His Eternal flaming fire, to forever suffer the punishing of eternal torment, IN DEATH?

2. For those who believe that man became a living soul, do you also believe that upon the return of Christ, the unsaved, both dead and alive, shall be cast into hell, being destroyed immediately, by His Eternal flaming fire, and shall be forever dead, by the punishment of ETERNAL DEATH and DESTRUCTION, never to live again?

Q. If a forever burning Hell is a place of eternal burning of eternal souls, where is death for them? Shall we say that God did not eliminate death for them also?
If so, then in scenario #1, death still exists.

Q. If we who are saved, are living forever in the New heavens/earth, with His new life, and death was eliminated for us, does death still exist for the eternal unsaved souls in some place else, called hell?

Q. If the unsaved, eternal souls were never given the Gift Eternal Life, is the Spirit of God in hell also, keeping them alive?

Q. In which scenario of 1&2 is
1 Corinthians 15:26 fulfilled, whereby death is totally eradicated and eliminated/destroyed?

Now, here is the question that DIVIDES the church:
Will the unsaved dead be given a second chance, AFTER Christ returns for His church, and are resurrected/raptured?

For God will judge justly according to His knowledge of men's hearts. There is also a judgement of the nations that will take place, so I can't give a 'yes' or 'no' answer to this. If that places me in the 'error' bracket in your estimation, that is entirely up to you. However, I do not know sufficiently well the order of the events that will take place at the end of this age, to answer you as you require.

I must say that the Lord has given you great understanding through His Spirit.
For without Him within us, we are just reading the words of the Bible, gaining only a historical knowledge, heaped upon by the preconcieved doctrines of men.

Hebrews 9[24] For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Thank you for your sincere and honest reply. I must say that the Lord has given you great understanding through His Spirit.
For without Him within us, we are just reading the words of the Bible, gaining only a historical knowledge, heaped upon by the preconcieved doctrines of men.

Hebrews 9[24] For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true;
but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

[26] For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world:

Are we to understand that "the end of the world" began with the judgment unto life through faith in Jesus' Sacrifice?

* Please bear with me while I look at the words themselves for a moment. The margin of my Bible informs me that the word, 'END' is a translation of the Greek, 'sunteleia', (and not 'telos'):- which means 'closing time', denoting the joining of two age-times: i.e., the closing of one, leading on to the other. The 'suntelea' marking the closing period, and telos marks the actual and final end.

The words, 'the end of the world' (aion = age): or 'the end of the age', (age-time or dispensation). The expression occurs 6 times, in Matthew 13:39, 40 & 49; Matthew 24:3; 28:20; Hebrews 9:26.

* This indicates to me, that the Lord came at the end of that age: the age then present; which was coming to a close.

* Had Israel repented during the approx. 40 year period covered by the book of Acts, then Christ would have returned then (see Acts 3:19-21), and the events prophesied concerning that event would have been set in motion. However Israel did not repent and this now awaits a future day for it's fulfilment. God in His foreknowledge obviously knew that this would occur, and had provisioned for it in His revelation to the Apostle Paul concerning the mystery: in which Christ would be 'in' (or 'among') the Gentiles; for salvation had been sent to the Gentiles (Acts 28:28), making them independent of the nation of Israel for salvation, which had formerly been 'of the Jews' (John 4:22). This marked (I believe) the beginning of a new age, in which Jew and Gentile believers were equal and united in a joint body, formerly not known, this knowledge having been hid in God since the world began (Ephesians 3:9 & Colossians 1:26).
