Kriss, I thought your title -community guide, plus all your lead questions in this forum meant that you were a leader in this forum.I assumed you knew what evil was, as well as all the other questions you pose,{quote} Your assumption was right I was just joking about the test being graded and as I saidit was meant to inspire thought and/or to be a subject to inspire members to discuss it.if I answer right away it defeats part of the purpose of asking the question. I do try to go back and add my answer if necessary, but I find alot of our members answer as good or better than I could.I ask alot of questions I know the or my answer to if I think they will help those that are just learning and/or to generate conversation as you said.I have a sense of humor that you will often find in my posts I usually try to put the lots of laughs (lol) symbol at the end of where I am joking so forgive me if my humorous answer confused you
Let's look at that verse, Pops; Isaiah 45: 7---I quickly grabbed the first Bible I had, which was the NKJ version and read the word evil was translated, " " calamity " Well , I know how fond Pop is of the NKJV so I immediately moved to The Companion Bible which is the old KJV Bible which translated the word " evil ". Well , I know in another verse it says there is no darkness at all in God so I went to my Strong's concordance which reads Isaiah 45: 7 " evil " meaning : Adversity, affliction, bad, calamity, + distress, evil ( L- favouredness ) .....There is another definition of evil which has the prim root: to spoil, do harm wicked,,.... that form of evil wasn't used in the verse by doubtingThomas. There is no doubt that God exercises his right to punish the wicked and that would cause adversity, affliction calamity, etc.The devil was perfect until evil; pride, was found in him. In Genesis; God created everything and saw that it was good.Evil is a perversion of good. It was not created by God.And Pops, quoting one Bible verse doesn't mean that DoubtingThomas is right.Bible verses can be taken out of context.doubtingthomas;6242]Isaiah 45:7 I form the light said:create evil[/b]: I the LORD do all these things."
