The only problem is that the Bible refutes any such concept as "prehistoric man". Some have tried to develop the Gap Theory (that there is a gap between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2), but since the Bible makes it clear that (a) all human beings have descended from Adam and (b) all human beings are subject to sin and death because of Adam, there cannot be any "pre-historic man" before Adam.

As to why dinosaurs were rendered extinct, only God knows.

The 'Gap Theory' doesn't require that all humans are not descended from Adam.

The 'Gap Theory' allows that the earth is a lot older than the 6000 years that the genealogies recorded in the Bible allow. And it has much Biblical support.

Of course it does. The Gap Theory postulates a "Pre-Adamite" or "Pre-Adamic" race of men who were judged along with Satan and his evil angels.

The Gap Theory doesn't require any human existence before Adam. It does state that the earth's condition in (Gen. 1:2) was the result of satan's fall and God's judgement. As to any pre-Adamic race of men, that is only given as speculation. Scripture supports the Gap as far as satan's fall and Gods judgement. I don't know of any Scripture supporting humans also existing at that time. Perhaps there could have been other creatures than the angels, but they would not have been human.

I am persuaded in the gap theory.
To me it answers so many questions...and fills in the blanks.

I do believe this earth is much older then 6000 years... I think they have proved that.
I believe that after satan landed here and caused the chaos , then God wiped the world clean and it became "without form and void "..and then He spoke this world as we know it into beginning...

"Satan was cast out to."....so this earth was here already waiting ...there is nothing to prove that it was brand new....it could have had the dinosaurs and cave men grunters already here.

Nothing can be said or proved either way...all we ever have on theses kind of issues are "opinions." And some are better than others :)

it seems we are not told modern day type animals, birds and plants are buried and dug up alongside Dinosaurs - guess what this proves - twinc

And supposedly dinosaurs were extinct hundreds of millions of years before mankind came unto the scene and yet the Bible describes a behemoth as a dinosaur having a tail that moves like a cedar which is a tree in Job 40 th chapter. It even gives a description that the sexual organs of the dinosaurs are internal and scientists had only discovered that recently.

Job 40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. 16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. 17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. 18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

People that want to know the truth of their origin can look no further than the King James Bible while fallible men by their fallible devices are groping around in the dark with the evolution theory's bifocals for why the evolution theory is a false science, and always will be as it only exists in the realm of the imagination.
