Discerning the Spirits

  1 John 4:1 (KJV)
  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

• 1 John 4:2 (KJV) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

• 1 John 4:3 (KJV)
  and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Have you ever tried this when you think the holy spirit is talking to you, I have and you might just get a shock next time your talking with the holy spirit ask it to: confess that Jesus Christ come in the flesh and is of God, the anti-Christ is not just a person but a spirit who pretends to be God.

I have a saying that goes like this: Jesus Christ tells you what you need to hear the devil tells you what you want to hear and we only discern what we want to be truth.
