I see. So at the national briefing he was just asking his medical experts an honest question, because he truly didn't know whether injecting disinfectants would help with the virus. Then when a lot of people were dismayed at him not knowing that, he lied and said he was just being sarcastic, because he knew the media would report that story (him being the President and all).

And now he and his supporters are sitting back, having a good laugh at the whole circus.

If that's the sort of behavior his supporters like so much in a President they want four more years of it, all I can say is....we are on completely different planets.
…… and you want Biden???? You know you will only be hoping to elect whomever he has as a running mate, because he would be removed from any responsibility within months. And it has already been stated by Biden, himself, and several other Dems, that the only requisite THAT person needs is a different skin colour and female parts. (Even most women think THAT is insane.)

Kansas Man Chugged Cleaning Product After Trump’s Disinfectant Comments

He obviously didn’t pick up on the sarcasm. A Kansas man drank a disinfectant product over the weekend after President Donald Trump pondered out loud whether ingesting cleansers could help fight COVID-19. Lee Norman, the state’s health officer, appeared to blame Trump when he said the man drank the product “because of the advice he’d received.” He added that Kansas Poison Control Center has reported a more than 40 percent increase in cleaning-chemical cases. Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration has asked manufacturers making hand sanitizer to make sure their products don’t taste or smell nice so kids and teens will stop drinking it. In a Monday advisory, the agency said that calls to the National Poison Data System about hand sanitizer were up by 79 percent last month, compared to March 2019. “Hand sanitizers are not proven to treat COVID-19, and like other products meant for external use, are not for ingestion, inhalation, or intravenous use,” FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn said.

More sarcasm!

Trump Tries Sarcasm Defense Again After 'Noble Prize' Tweets

The latest Trumpian faux pas came earlier Sunday on President Donald Trump’s personal Twitter feed. On a day that has been positively exploding with tweet storms against the media, a favorite target for his ire, Trump posted several tweets demanding that journalists who won “Noble Prizes” for their reporting on “Russia, Russia, Russia” should be forced to give them back to the “Noble Committee.”

Trump was mocked immediately, enthusiastically, and viciously for the tweets, both for the repeated misspelling (the award is known as the Nobel Prize, named for the Swedish scientist and businessman who founded the awards) and for the fact that Nobel Prizes are awarded for outstanding contributions to humanity in several fields, including peace, chemistry, medicine, physics, literature — but not journalism.

Yes, he was only being sarcastic, he said.

Trump then posted a new tweet, suddenly claiming he was just being sarcastic, that he never meant to reference the Nobel Prize and instead was just insulting the reporters’ lack of morality.
