12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
According to the scriptures there is a difference between your soul and your spirit, and they are divided by the word of God. How does the word of God divide the soul and spirit. You start by being trained by the HolySpirit to read your bible as it is written. The only way you will ever get revelation from the HolySpirit is by the plainly written word of God. Now man has so confused the word in their ignorance that they begin to proclaim it's to hard to understand and try to write easy ways to understand the word of God. Dont be fooled by man, they will always look for an easy path, a path of least resistance if you will.
Have you debated someone or been in the websites that claim to have been Christian at one time. Their attack is always against the word of God, it doesn't work and we can prove it they say. They feel they are right just by the support they get in a group. Scripture calls these fools.
I personally stay out of the greek and hebrew by choice. I once lived there but found I only went in a circle trying to conclude a notion. Now the greek and hebrew will give you some good bible study and alot of help along the way but where all that ends revelation will have to begin. Revelation is simply the HolySpirit teaching you, revelation is Spirit taught knowledge. You cannot find that in any book (other than your bible) or any language in this world. It only comes from the word of God, remember at some point you have began to see Christ personified, and always remember when you study John 1:1, 14,
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
We can do nothing more than the Apostles did when they wrote and spoke and witnessed. It has to be left up to the Lord to bring the increase. It's like D.L. Moody said to the drunk that came up to him and said "preacher I'm one of your converts" D.L. said "you must be your not one of the Lord's."
My point is we don't need gimmicks to reach the lost, we need the bonified gospel preached with revelation. That is where the power is, the power lies in Christ revealed in believers, dividing soul and spirit, dividing the word of truth, 2 Timothy 2:15,
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
