The New Testament has already spoken on this matter. Woman need to stay quiet, at home, and be obedient to their husbands, fathers/mothers, elder brothers/sisters, kin… etc.

Don’t like it?

Find a new religion. Christianity ain’t for you!

What else can we nullify by searching the Old Testament???

Does anyone need to interpret/expound Scripture passages to you so that you may understand what is being conveyed?

If you did NOT understand Judges 4:4 ask others who does!!! Do you read and critic Scripture like it's an ordinary book as many do???

There are many practices that men do that I don’t agree with also

we not picking on women here!

senators are supposed to be appointed by the state legislature so they have a dog in the fight!

I’ll never vote for senator!
That is not true, Senators are elected by the people according the the Constitution.

Same for men!

can’t stand men jogging around the neighborhood naked!

Nothing on but tennis shoes and short shorts!

It’s also the duty of the wealthy to care for the poor and needy! And I would add a privilege!

the nobility were noble cos they cared for the poor!

Amendments change the Constitution. Those are what we follow, not what was originally written. Or do you believe black men should only count for 3/5 of a person too?

The bill of rights was not in the original constitution either, and some things should not be in the bill of rights

or the Freemason bill of rights!

Mary is not my mother. My mother was Cheryl.

you not one of the beloved disciples?

I meant spiritual mother in the spiritual family of God!

Christ said; I will not leave you orphans!

He gives us His own mother!

Jn 19:16-17

Nope, she isn't my spiritual mother either. John 19 was talking about the disciple whom Jesus loved only. Not all of Christianity.

So you're a Catholic. I was a cradle Catholic and no longer consider myself Catholic.

The Catholic church doesn't even spout what you have been spouting about women. They recognize that a woman can work outside of the home and be in positions of authority over men. They have no issues with women wearing pants and recognize that pants are modest.

Only in a progressive communist nation like good ole USA!

The only nations that I know that do what you have stated are Muslim nations. Most of the rest of the world allows women to work and hold positions of authority. Also, the US isn't communist.

No issue with a woman who volunteers as a nurse when her kids are grown as long as her husband approves!

If they are doing the same work like me, then they should be paid the same wage and not work for free, nor do the kids need to be grown and the husband can have input, but the decision should be a mutual one.

it was a poll in one of the big magazines

Which magazine?

As far as I am aware there is a pretty even split of men and women in the world, so that would mean that no woman is married if this poll was true.

I said most of this is my preference not scripture or church teaching

So pants on a woman is modest. I have no issues with that.
I agree. Perhaps if everyone went back to wearing robes...?? lol

But dresses and skirts of today are very often immodest. If the wind blows, it's a pain trying to hold it down. Then, try doing that while you have a baby in one arm or a toddler on the hip....and hope to God your little one's foot didn't catch the end of your skirt or dress and pull it up and reveal all. (These are all things I have dealt with.)

And I've seen girls come out of the church bathroom with the edge of their dress caught in their undergarments and they weren't aware. And try being modest on a playground wearing a skirt (girls) ....running or on a swing ...immodest!!

I spent years wearing dresses and skirts, and it wasn't fun having to worry about modesty. I'd rather wear pants (not tight) ...and a shirt that comes down a good ways past the waist. It's more comfortable, more modest, and less worrisome.

I believe Jesus meant to not call "any man" on earth father for one is your father which is in heaven.

I apologize. My bad. The above Is a typo. What I really wanted to convey about Matthew 23:9 was that Jesus said, "do not call any man on earth "spiritual father" for one is your Spiritual Father which is in heaven."

And the above can be proven by the previous verse.
