God sanctified the 7th day Sabbath as his day of rest in Genesis. Jesus later said Sabbath was made for man.
Was Jesus known as a Sabbath-keeper? (nope)

John 9:16 NIV
Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.”
But others asked, “How can a sinner perform such signs?” So they were divided.

John 5:18 NIV
For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath,
but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

Matthew 12:2 NIV
When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him,
“Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”

So yes,Adam and Eve would have known Sabbath day because God made it for man.And they were the first people he created.
And here you are doing the opposite. Making man for the Sabbath.

- To whom were the Ten Commandments given?

Deuteronomy 5:3-4 NIV
It was not with our ancestors[a] that the Lord made this covenant,
but with us, with all of us who are alive here today.
4 The Lord spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.

- To whom was the Sabbath commandment given?

Exodus 31:13 NIV
“Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths.
This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come,
so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy.

Ezekiel 20:12 NIV
Also I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us,
so they would know that I the Lord made them holy.

Ezekiel 20:20 NIV
Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us.
Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.”

--- MANNA and SABBATH ---

Exodus 16:21-23 NIV
Each morning everyone gathered as much as they needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away.
22 On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much—two omers[a] for each person—
and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses.
23 He said to them, “This is what the Lord commanded:
Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath to the Lord.
So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil.
Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.’”

Many claim that Paul was only referencing the "ceremonial" law when talking about being free from the law of sin and death. I think this passage proves that he was talking about the 10 commandments as well:

Ro 7:7-8 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

Here we see a clear reference to the law being discussed as the 10 commandments.

Agree.
Here's one that really drives it home. Assuming the TCs were engraved in letters on stone.
The transitory ministry of death that has no glory now. The letter kills.

2 Corinthians 3:6-8 NIV
He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—
not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone,
came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses
because of its glory, transitory though it was,
8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?

Very good!
Here's another.

Hebrews 8:7,13
7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant,
no place would have been sought for another. ...
13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete;
and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

Fair enough, thanks.

Sabbath is one day of rest after six days of work.

In the military, you get your first day off. Off your you-know-what! - LOL

Remember means to observe. It would be pretty stupid to forget about the Sabbath if you were a regular observer.

I'm familiar. That's why I brought it up.

True. But how would the Sabbath commandment be understood if it had not been introduced earlier?

"Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy."
"The what?" - LOL

God's law of human conscience was in place. Anything that was wrong before the law was given.

Romans 5:12-14 NIV
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man,
and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned
13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given,
but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law.
14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses,
even over those who did not sin by breaking a command,
as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

You believe that the weekly cycle, observed by the entire planet for thousands of years before Moses, was not a reminder of the Sabbath? Explain why in languages antecedent to Hebrew, expressed the 7 th day of the week as a day of rest, even in some cases naming it rest?

Some cultures, like Egypt had a ten day week.

From a biblical perspective, all we know for sure is that God gave the Sabbath to the Israelites through Moses in Exodus chapter 16.
And in Deuteronomy chapter 5 He said it was because they were slaves in Egypt.

Deuteronomy 5:15 NIV
Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that
the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand
and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God
has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.

Nope?
You're committed to arguing against the gospel.
No wonder you misspell the name of one of our Martyrs when assuming it as your own.

Yours is the anti-gospel.

Of course you would have a direct source to the authority upon which such a change was made right?
No Nor can one even be twisted to say what they claim.

It is amazing how people insist God retracted his Sabbath gift he made for man. It never happened.
We are all one in Christ. Which means the Sabbath gift is for Christians too. Because Sabbath pre existed Jews and Sinai.

Sunday is not the new Sabbath day for Christians.
Sunday worship is rooted in Constantine's Roman Paganism.

Sabbath is still Sabbath.

Jesus did not resurrect on Sunday!

The Resurrection Was Not on Sunday

"The Passover lamb, killed every year on the 14th of the first month called "Abib," was a type of Christ, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. Christ is our Passover, sacrificed for us (I Corinthians 5:7).

Jesus was slain on the very same day the Passover had been slain every year. He was crucified on the 14th of Abib, the first Hebrew month of the year. And this day, the Passover, was the day before—and the preparation for—the Feast day, or annual high day Sabbath, which occurred on the 15th of Abib. This Sabbath might occur on any day of the week. Frequently it occurs, and is observed even today, on Thursday. For instance, this "high-day" Sabbath came on Thursday in 1972, 1975 and 1979, and will occur on Thursday in 1982, 1986 and 1989.

And the Hebrew calendar shows that in the year Jesus was crucified, the 14th of Abib, Passover day, the day Jesus was crucified, was Wednesday. And the annual Sabbath was Thursday. This was the Sabbath that drew on as Joseph of Arimathea hastened to bury the body of Jesus late that Wednesday afternoon. There were two separate Sabbaths that week!

What Day Was the Resurrection?

Now which day of the week was the resurrection day?

The first investigators, Mary Magdalene and her companions, came to the sepulcher on the first day of the week (Sunday) very early, while it was yet dark, as the sun was beginning to rise, at dawn (Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; John 20:1).

Now here are the texts most people have supposed stated the resurrection was at sunrise Sunday morning. But they do not say that!

When the women arrived, the tomb was already open! At that time Sunday morning while it was yet dark, Jesus was not there! Notice how the angel says, "He is not here, but is risen" (see Mark 16:6; Luke 24:6; Matthew 28:5-6).

Jesus was already risen at sunrise Sunday morning! Of course He was. He rose from the grave in the late afternoon, near sunset!

And since we know Christ was buried late Wednesday afternoon, and that the resurrection took place at the same time of day three days later, we now know the resurrection of Christ occurred late Saturday afternoon.

The Sabbath day ended at sunset. It was late on that day, before the beginning of the first day of the week. It was not, then, a Sunday resurrection at all. It was a Sabbath resurrection!"

From my perspective, the moral law is covered under God's law of human conscience,
which came before the law given by God to the Israelites alone through Moses.

The inclusion of the Sabbath commandment shows that this SET of commandments was for the Israelites alone.
Remove the Sabbath commandment and you basically have God's law of human conscience.

[
In other words, you become the arbiter of what is right and wrong. Which was the result of eating the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Before that, the test for Adam and Eve was... Are you going to comply with my authority. Don't eat of that tree.
So you think you don't need the 9 commandments to tell you what is good and evil (God's authority), you now make up your own mind. So what happens when confronted with the 4th? The one commandment that is solely based on whether you will or whether you won't submit to God's authority. (Like don't eat of that tree). Most choose to obey the authority of the Catholic church and honour Sunday.... Their invention. (Like Cain offering fruit and veggies instead of a lamb). Or they make up their own invention... Every day is the Sabbath. Which is silly really because I bet the vast majority go to church on Sunday anyway and exercise some sort of restful observance in doing so.
Authority. God's? Or someone else's?
But of course God is not so tyrannical to leave you high and dry without options. So you don't want to uphold the Catholic day, oh no, not that.
You don't want to uphold the Lord's Day, that authority thing, the reasons being your own, so your "out," if you can prove it, is the Sabbath was only for the Jews. That may be provable, if God's intentions and purposes for the Jews was that they were to always be an isolationist, introverted, unsympathetic people keeping God and His blessings of obedience to themselves. Can you do that? Think Uriah. Think Ruth. Nebuchadnezzar. The widow of Serapta etc etc. Think the 4th Commandment itself.... The stranger that is within the gates... Of course, you may think like many do, that the Sabbath commandment was a burden to be avoided. A joyless, boring, heavy laden curse of the law that no-one wanted, devoid of all that is good and happy and enjoyable. Then naturally, you would believe the Gentiles were always way better off not having it. You included right?

[
That was one reason yes. A reminder of who our Saviour is. A reminder that we are saved by grace, not by works, not even by observing the Sabbath. We were all in Egypt at one time. Even the whole Decalogue was a reminder of that. Note the first sentence...

“1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. ”
Exodus 20:1-2 KJV

But it would be luxurious to say that Israel wasn't to murder people because God brought them out of Egypt right
?After years of slavery and being consumed by Egyptian pagan culture, the very first thing God showed them was His Sabbath. When they ignored that, God challenged them...

“27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. 28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? (What commandments? What laws? They hang arrived at Sinai yet!!)
29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. 30 So the people rested on the seventh day. ”
Exodus 16:27-30 KJV

The first thing God did, was bless them with rest. After years of working every day, I am sure the Jews thought such a thing was a curse and a burden. And when God included it in the Decalogue 3 months later....

But what think ye of Christians? They, by the grace of God and His mighty hand are brought out of the slavery of sin. Are we to say, "thank you God, I can continue to do my own thing but have no need to consider your laws"? Does God do that to Christians? Absolutely no. Remember, sin is there transgression of the law. But we don't like that. We are reminded once again of authority. . The Bible loudly declares that " not even the passing of heaven and earth will witness the end to the law... Not one tittle will change. Do you think that includes the 4th commandment?

It's very plainly obvious to those who understand that the metaphorical and verb based language Hebrew has been translated into a noun based plain, flat speech English and many of the nuances just do not translate whatsoever.

But the intent is still clear. And history (we stand on the shoulders of our fathers).

Meaning we have services on Sunday but worship EVERY day.

We worship on Sun-day not because God changed Sabbath day. But because Roman Christians did.

It's one thing to think the ten commandments are for Jews only. Which when those are moral commands that represent love and honor for God and our neighbors, are claimed to not apply to Christians. It is quite another to insist God,who created Sabbath, changed the day.

We know there are false churches. None so false as that which dates teach morality is for Jews only.
And if they're going to go that far they might as well step all the way into the quicksand of falsehood and say the Jews Messiah was theirs alone too.

anti-Semitism is a virus. It mutates.

Gentile Christians were never welcome in the synagogues. (as walk-ins)

That's not true.

Do you know that a mixed multitude of people joined the Jews in their exodus from Egypt?

"In the ancient Roman world, Gentile God-fearers were present in synagogues and were a source of many early Christian converts. Paula Fredricksen remarks that “there is no reason to think that Paul’s gentiles, now that they’ve made the incredible commitment to the God of Israel by not worshipping their own gods anymore, would stop going to the synagogue and listening to the Bible.”[10] Judaism was popular enough that Juvenal satirized Roman citizens for keeping the Sabbath, food laws, and other Jewish practices. Centuries later, John Chrysostom gave sermons against Christians attending both church and synagogue, providing evidence for the popularity of the practice. Chrysostom and others dissuaded Christians from praying with Jews by outlawing the practice and by espousing a teaching of contempt for Jews and Judaism. This teaching has in recent years been repudiated by the Roman Catholic church and several Protestant bodies,[11] yet much estrangement still exists."
