It's not about the fear of death rob. "Death" has been defeated.

Satan...his demons and fallen angels can still cause disruption. They roam around like roaring lions.

Are they on a "leash"? Yes. Still, a dog on a leash can bite you.

The point is that because Satan was already bound through Christ's cross and resurrection, Satan has no power to hold people in bondage to death who have been born again. Because Satan is bound the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is being proclaimed and people throughout all the nations of the earth are being born again and possess ETERNAL life. That could not happen prior to the advent of Christ, the nations of the world had no knowledge of the Savior ordained to come and redeem from death whosoever would believe in Christ.

Yes, just as a dog on a lease can still bite if you get too close, so too, the spirit called Satan is not without power to hold in bondage to death all who remain in darkness and unbelief.

The explanation of prophesy is literal, not the prophesy itself. For instance, the Apostle Peter went on the housetop to pray in Acts 10:11-13 and a sheet bound on 4 corners was descending to him with unclean animals and Jesus tells Peter to "Rise, Peter; kill and eat".
Is this vision/prophesy literal?

The vision was literal.
The “picture” is a desire of men, having separated themselves, to gather together… Jew or Gentile to gather, to hear the Lords Word, to eat together….
IS accounted Righteous unto the Jew and the Gentile.

Acts 10:
[33] Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
[34] Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
[35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Glory to God,

Peter explained it. You didn't.
