In a bible discussion terms need to be defined.

The word "faith" to one person may mean only belief in Jesus being the Son of God and to another "faith" may mean belief plus action in accordance with the word of God.

In (Mark 2:5) Jesus "seen their faith".

Mr 2:4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

This harmonizes with (Heb.11).

Heb 11:4 ¶ By faith "Abel offered" unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous,

Heb 11:7 By faith "Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house"; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 "By faith he sojourned" in the land of promise, as in a strange country,

In (Joshua 6) their faith can be seen as they walk around the city in silence till the day they were to make noise.

The Lord told the people the following.

Jos 6:2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho,

But there were conditions the people had to complete before the Lord was going to give them the city of Jericho.

Jos 6:3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. 4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. 5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

What if they had only walked around the city of Jericho for 4 days instead of 6 days?

Would they have been acting by faith?

No, they would not.

Who was to decide only 4 days?

Did they have the authority to do so?

No!!!

Must one believe and confess to be saved? YES, according to (Rom.10:9,10)

Must one repent to be saved? YES, according to (Luke 13:3).

Must one be baptized (in water) to be saved? YES according to (Acts 2:38,47 ; 8:5,12,13,26-40 ; 16-30-34 ; 22:16) (Mark 16:15,16) (Jn 3:3-5,23) (1Peter 1:22,23) (1Peter 3:20,21) (Acts 10:33-35) (Heb. 10:22) (Gal. 3:27).

The question which needs to be asked is "WHEN" does the blood of Jesus cleanse men of their sins (Col.2:11,12) (Acts 22:16). This is the sign of one becoming a christian (sins forgiven).

"When" was Paul's sins forgiven? (not on the road with Jesus)

It was three days later when a preacher told Paul what to do to be saved (Acts 9:9).

Paul's Conversion (Acts 22:16)

1. Arise
2. Be Baptized (in water)
3. Wash Your Sins Away
4. Calling On The Name Of The Lord

Anyone who can count to three can tell "WHEN" mens sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus (Eph. 1:7) (Rev. 1:5).

It is not the water that cleanses the soul of sin, it is the blood of Jesus. But in the burial of water is "WHEN" the blood of Jesus cleanses mens souls of sin (Heb. 10:22) (Col. 2:11,12) (Titus 3:3-5) (Rom. 6:3-6) (Acts 2:38,47).

Johns baptism was in water and for the forgiveness of sins according to (Mark 1:4), so why do people have such a hard time accepting NT baptism (in water) is for the forgiveness of sins?

This is the discussion we must have to undo all the confusion being taught today.
