This is where @Mattias and I disagree. Because when Jesus returns, he’ll destroy his enemies as an agent of justice, he’d take out that sword he told his Apostles to buy and arrange a meeting with the criminal and her maker in heaven - just like the ICE agent did. Thanks for asking.
How can two faith truths be acceptable.

I was thinking about what the verse "Go and make disciples" of the nation's mean. Jesus said it. I don't think he means go out and kick ass across the earth.
Think again. When you ask what would Jesus do, don’t forget the 1st thing he’ll do upon his return is smite his enemies. And turning over tables and whipping at people is not out of the question. And his last act will be sending people to their death (in the Lake of Fire).

Shouldn‘t we be like Jesus?

Your instinct is good. Why aren’t you a follower of Jesus?

He himself might be doing that when he returns But he is not ordering you to do that for him now.

I am in a way. Because I do accept Jesus teaching, I just don't believe in them. I don't create some mystical meaning out of it and I don't care for hollow traditions to fit in with other people.

I mean, it might help with recruitment numbers.

A deflection from the simple question; Shouldn‘t we be like Jesus?

Where there is freedom there is the spirit of the Lord. He's not prohibiting us from doing that for him or for us. Matthew 6:33 all these things will be given to you as well (freedom to act to do justice as Micah 6:8 commands).

It's why America has an immigration problem not an emigration problem. Establishing justice helps with recruitment numbers and sometimes justice involves kicking ass.

Ezekiel 33:29
Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have made the land a desolate waste because of all the detestable things they have done.’

Thank you. I'm glad somebody said it, and why did it take a non-believer to say it?

Since I was just presenting on Philippians 2:6-11 in another thread, I will point out to my Christian brothers and sisters that we have been instructed to emulate Christ's humility demonstrated during His earlier visit, not what we think He'll do when He returns.

Jesus says to repent and be saved, or you will perish. Also, Jesus does not care for those who reject Him.

Luke 13:1-5 - Now at that same time there were some present who were reporting to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you think that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered these things? 3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 Or do you think that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse offenders than all the men who live in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes on Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

Scientific enquiry does begin with an assumption and then continues to verify that assumption or disprove that assumption. However belief takes the assumption as proof and terminates at that point.

You’re disregarding reality. “Science” has proven itself wrong many times. The reason is puts its faith in what is wrong. One article of scientific faith is the rate of what we observe today is the same rate in the past.

I don't know. A teacher who said do not repay evil for evil and turn the other cheek isn't teaching his followers to go out do the opposite Here's a passage in the Bible which even I'd struggle to follow.

Hebrews 11:35
35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection.

Remember this verse.

Matthew 23:15
15 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

Scientific understanding and rationale isn't supposed to be utilised in a way to lock you into a cease learning and terminate here mentality. Normal scientific enquiry is supposed to be open for improvement and theoretical refinement. That doesn't mean what you have proven following a body of evidence should be ultimately distrusted or seen as another form of believing. We all use different forms of proven dependable knowledge based on the scientific method. You'll be utilising that dependable method when you type your reply to me later.

Hebrews 11:35 is about the suffering of Christians, so you may ask, why them? Has God deserted them? Bad things happen because we live in an evil world filled with sufferings, even for a believer. But God is still in control. He allows some to become martyrs, He allows others to survive persecution. By Faith, we have to do God's will regardless of what happens and not ask why.

I don't know.

That’s your problem.

A teacher who said do not repay evil for evil and turn the other cheek
Context. This is in response to personal slights and insults - not a command to be a victim of lawlessness and corporate evil.

Do you recall the passage where Christ had carried Roman troop armament 2 miles when the obligation was only 1 mile? This is to assist the cause of justice.

Many in Christiandom have become over-spiritualized. They ignore the soulful needs of the body here and now. This is why I started a poll thread to ask if Christians are better off being ruled by Satanists and Atheists. Most refused to answer the obvious answer. This proves God’s children have chosen to make themselves irrelevant in the public square.

Such considerations as justice are dismissed as too worldly or fleshy. They demure to hyper-grace and mercy. This is inconsistent with how Christians have conducted themselves for millennia. See the Christianized Roman Empire. See the Holy Roman Empire. See the Battle Of Tours. See the Crusades. See the defeat of the Islamic Ottoman Empire and the establishment of Israel. See Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

A purist view doesn’t change the facts of experience, which is scientific faith has flaws also. Seems that capital-S “Science” is your IDOL. Hence the manipulation to follow “the Science.”
