At Christ's return as He descends from Heaven, all the still living in the flesh born of God believers in Christ are caught up in the air.
But immediately prior to that all the dead in Christ, their bodies come out of the graves, or wherever their ashes were scattered and rise up first into the air to be with Christ. their bodies are reunited with their spirits and are above in the air with Christ, I suppose looking down watching for the coming destruction about to be unleashed on the earth's inhabitants.
Then Christ comes down in great wrath along with all of His saints, (the believers in Him) and kills all the wicked people, burning them alive with fire and sending them into hell along with all their evil government rulers, the beast, false prophet, antichrist, Satan.
Then comes a millennium of Christ's rule on earth which is like paradise on earth and people have peace, love and safety. God heals the earth for a thousand years. People may even be born during this time. The earth is repopulated perhaps. The saints of God are ruling on the earth at this time.
After that Satan is released from the pit of hell and is loosed to deceive the nations again, but God then does a final clean up and anyone who has turned wicked is destroyed in a final destruction of this old earth and the heavens both.
Then comes the final judgement of all the wicked called the Great White Throne judgement and the books are opened, In these books is recorded everything that people have done, all their deeds and they are judged. And also the book of Life is opened and if their names are not found in the book of Life, they are cast alive in their resurrected bodies into a huge lake of fire by holy angels to be burned forever.
After that, God creates a new Earth and a new Heaven and gives it to the people of God to have forever and there will never be another evil thing left to cause any kind of corruption, death is no more.

The Millenium is the 1000 year period after the judgement when the believers get to live on the earth in Peace and harmony. Its also after the time when God makes the whole world new again and the Holy City of God comes down to Jerusalem. Only the chosen remnant are allowed into the city. Everyone else gets to live without want because God will provide for everyone. The Second Coming is when Jesus Comes down to Earth. And stops man from destroying himself. The Rapture is a device that was created in Christianity for the believers, because Gods wrath will be swift and without mercy. So if everyone thinks there might be a chance that they won't have to be part of it, that is what they want to believe. Personally, I believe that we are all guilty of the sins of mankinds "imagination of the heart". We all deserve The wrath of God. Only the "little remnant" will get special treatment. Order...Secondcoming....Little remnant. Millenium.
There is the theme of the coming destruction in may books of scripture when Christ returns a second time.
He rescues (saves) tthe people of God and pours out wrath and destruction oh the unbelieving evil world of that time.
And the times as bad as they are now, will just be getting worse and worse until that Day of His returning.

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. At Christ's return He gives us who are troubled by the evil works of the wicked, rest when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The wicked will be killed as they prefer evil things.

So Christ returns with His army of angels and all the saints are with Him.
Jude speaks of ten thousands of His saints, which means a vast number.

Does any of that really matter? Just be ready. STUDY the Bible or you will be deceived.

Rapture (there are varying views of when)
1. Pre-trib - Rapture occurs before the begining of Daniels 70th week
2. Mid trib - Rapture occurs in the middle of the 70th week. immediately preceding the time of great tribulation spoken of by Daniel the prophet
3 Post trib - Rapture occurs following the great tribulation immediately preceding or during the second comming

Post trib rapture fits what Jesus and Paul say, and is the only reason I believe in Post Trib pov.
His people will be gathered, on earth, from the 4 winds, and from one end of heaven to the other, are those who died in the Lord and are in heaven.
All are brought together on that DAY to meet with Christ in the air when HE returns a second time, apart from sin for salvation.
It will be for our salvation from this present evil age, but for the others, their fiery destruction.
26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
The Coming of the Son of Man

Put simply, the Millennium is a concept spoken of ONLY in the book of Revelation. A book that will tell you itself that it is based on visions and symbolism, and, unlike any other prophet in the entire Bible, the author states repeatedly that he is "in the spirit" when he sees the things that he conveys. Read the intro of the book in your Bible, it will tell you that it is all about visions and symbolism; meaning not literal at all. There are zero supporting verses anywhere else in scripture for the concept of the 1,000 year period after Jesus' return that is called the Millennium. Revelation 20 discusses this concept after many other things happen in the book that totally contradict such an event if taken in a literal and linear sense.
The 2nd Coming of Christ is an event that I've found as many as 100 verses in scripture that refer to it. It is the one, and only, return of Christ after His ascension on the Mount of Olives, which took place after His death on the Cross and His resurrection.
The rapture is the concept of Jesus taking His people up into the sky to be with him. Do some light research on the difference between the Pre-Tribulation, the Mid-Tribulation and the Post-Tribulation Raptures to better understand what the Rapture is. The only one that is fully backed by scripture is the Post-Tribulation Rapture proven very clearly by Matthew 24:29-30. The book of John supports this by stating 6 times that Jesus will come on the Last Day of the world. There is no mention whatsoever of a thousand year period after His return outside of the highly symbolic book of Revelation.

The millennium of Revelation 20 is not a literal 1000-year period either before Christ returns (this is the Post-Millennial view) or after Christ returns (this is the Pre-Millennial view). It is the the age we are in now, since Pentecost and up to Christ's return, the day of Christ. The millennium is the fullness of God's time in drawing the fullness of the Gentiles to Himself and then removing the partial hardening that is on Israel, thus completing His Israel, as Paul says in Romans 11:25-26, and it is represented in Revelation 20:4-6. We are reigning now, spiritually speaking, in Christ, Who is reigning in heaven; we are "seated with Him in the heavenly places," as Paul says in Ephesians 2.

Christ will "descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God... (a)nd the dead in Christ will rise first... (t)hen (those) who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air..." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). He descend to earth in the same manner as He ascended at the end of his earthly ministry, and all Christians, either still alive or having risen, will go out to meet Him in His descent and usher Him in, as is appropriate ~ and Biblically precedented ~ to the royalty that He is.

There is no Biblical basis for a "rapture" in the sense that Pre-millennialism would suppose. Christ's return will certainly be a rapturous event, where He will seize, in a manner of speaking ~ take hold of for good, harpazo in the Greek of 1 Thessalonians 4:17, translated to 'caught up' in English ~ His church and His kingdom.

- The Millennium (from Pentecost up to Christ's return)
- Christ's triumphant return, and the "catching up" of all the saints, the resurrection of believers to life
- The resurrection of the dead, the resurrection of unbelievers to judgment
- The final Judgment, depicted in Matthew 25:31-46
- Eternity begins (and never ends) ~ The new heaven and new earth for those in Christ and eternal punishment for those not in Christ

Actually scripturally, Jesus return and gathering His people to Him can not just happen at any time as the apostle teaches.
At the present time, the falling away has been happening, is what I think, been going on for sometime now. But this future falling away will be much greater in scope.
The next event is the revealing of the son of perdition (hell), which is otherwise known as the 'antichrist', which also has references in the Revelation book made mention of in Revelation 13.

v9 is telling the saints to remain patient for the coming of the Lord Jesus as Christ has not yet returned. But the 'antichrist' figure has now been revealed to the world and the beast world system is in control at this moment, and he will continue for 42 months, 3.5 more years till the return of Christ.
That Christ is not yet come for the saints, is also shown in Revelation 16 verse 15, a clear reference to Christ

Some people say this 'son of hell' who sits in the 'temple' is referring to the saints being deceived, losing their salvation, and becoming possessed by the devil, but that can not be... In the Greek, the falling away, is an apostasy, but the ones who apostatize were never the elect who will be saved. Scripture has many warnings against apostasy, and 1 John 2 tells us they apostatize as they are not of US, they were false brethren of which scripture also has warnings against. They do depart the faith for the very reason that they are antichrists, false brethren who leave the churches, who deny the Father and the Son
And John the apostle, is not teaching there is no coming Antichrist who will take over the world by what he says..he confirms it, and also says many antichrists are here now also. 42 months, 3 1/2 years, is half of the 7 year time period of the end of the days allotted by God for the prophetic events to be fulfilled.
Daniel 7, an OT prophetic book describes the major kingdoms that are on the earth up until the last one is replaced by The Kingdom of God with the saints of God given to the people of God, which also refers to the millennial reign of Christ with the saints ruling this earth.
Daniel 7:25
Then the kingdom and dominion,
And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven,
Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High.
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’
V25 confirms an earthly rule of the saints, this is before the final judgement and new earth and new heavens.
Daniel 7 is a good read,
v24 describes the Antichrist to come, he comes out of the fourth beast, which is the Roman Empire.
v25 again tells us Antichrist rules the world for 42 months, 3.5 years, the time, times, half time.
time is 1 year, times is 2 years, half a time is half a year which equals 42 months.
