From the OP:

In the same way we have learned to understand and respect cultural diversity,
we should learn to understand and respect doctrinal diversity.

Can Catholics and Protestants respect one another despite our doctrinal differences? (yes)
What about Baptists and Pentecostals? (yes) You name it. How far apart can we get?

Build bridges, not walls.

yes they can but certain doctrines will not hold water

Protestants have doctrines that Catholics find unbiblical, or outside Tradition as well.
To accept each other, we must allow others to maintain their beliefs.

Is there more benefit in rejecting others based on doctrinal differences,
or accepting them as fellow Christians?

Would go so far as to reject others based on doctrinal differences?

Are you suggesting that we should reject others based on doctrinal differences?
Just you and your little tribe against the world?

A religious cult is easy to find. They meet at the church across the street from your church.
And they feel the same way about you. Where does that get us?

At what point would unity through respect for one another be unfaithfulness?
'Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit
in the bond of peace
.'

(Eph.4:3)

Hello @St. SteVen,

There is a unity which is already made, and we walk in that unity in the spirit, in Christ Jesus: but not necessarily in the flesh. For there are essential truths that we are told to 'keep':-

'There is:-
.. one body, and
.... one Spirit, even as ye are called in
...... one hope of your calling;
........ One Lord,
.......... one faith,
............ one baptism,
.............. One God and Father of all,
Who is :-
.. above all, and
.... through all, and
...... in you all.'

(Eph 4:4-6)

* 'The Bond of Peace' is that which the Lord Jesus Christ procured for us:-

'But now in Christ Jesus
ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh
by the blood of Christ.
For He is our peace,
Who hath made both one,
and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Having abolished in His flesh the enmity,
even the law of commandments contained in ordinances;
for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross,
having slain the enmity thereby:'

(Eph 2:13-16)

* So, if we, in order to be united in the flesh with fellow believers are required to take on board ceremonialism of any kind, or add anything doctrinally to the completeness (Colossians 2:10) that we have been blessed with 'in Christ', then we must refuse. For in Christ Jesus we have the fulness of the Godhead bodily, and we are complete in Him.

In Christ Jesus
Chris

Fair enough.
Do you not have anything in common with other believers?
Enough that you could unite with them in Spirit?
