Eph 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
..

Some claim that 1 Cor 15:1-4 is NOT the "gospel of your salvation" that Paul is referencing to in Eph 1:13.
If that is the case then what are "the gospel of your salvation" verses ?
Which Paul verses teach what the audience of Eph 1:13 must hear and believe to be 'sealed' ?

1 Cor 15.3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

Obviously, this is the Gospel of Salvation, namely Christ's atonement for our sins, based on his suffering and forgiveness of human sin overall.

Eph 1.13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation.

This verse alone does not explain what the Gospel of Salvation is. It is assumed the Ephesians know. It was said just prior to this....

Eph 1. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us.

This is precisely the same thing as Paul wrote in 1 Cor 15. Jesus died to forgive our sins and to give us God's Grace, which is a continuing relationship with God by which we are able to repent of our sins and live for Him.

Hey Randy, I also believe AND accept that 1 Cor 15:3 is the GOSPEL that Paul is referring to in Eph 1:13.
Yet there are some who say no.
I have asked them for the verses they believe are the Gospel that Paul talks of in Eph 1:13.
Still waiting for their response :)

No matter if they answer--you're right. It's self-evident.

They don't know what they're talking about. There is only one gospel and it is referenced in both Ephesians 1:13 and 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. What does this have to do with eschatology exactly? Why are you posting this here?
