The enemies attacks have been heavy lately, coming at our home from all sides. A few years ago, I would have been a trembling mess; I am no longer afraid. The anxiety has left and all the phobias with it. My need to control and fear has fled away in sight of the One that is truly in control. I rest in peace. God does nothing without reason and purpose. And because of this, I would like to focus the question on Romans 14:11 which are the words of the Lord: For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Every man wants to believe he is special. We throw the word "elect" around with arrogance. Elected for what? Chosen for what? Are we not elected and chosen to display Christ to a fallen world? To be light in the darkness?
It is in us to want to see our enemies pay for injustice. I am not squeamish over my enemies getting what they deserve; sometimes, it is what I secretly want. But God tells me it is wrong. The enemy has been up in our face recently; threatening, yelling, spouting all kinds of evil and God caused my tongue to cleave to the roof of my mouth so I could not speak. The enemy has called my husband a rapist. A bum. The enemy has threatened bodily harm. he has mocked our home, our belief and said we are going up against a mighty fortress that will not fall. What is the mighty fortress? Lies. Satan is the father of lies. There is not truth in him. And when God changes us and we start telling truth, the enemy roars. I am not speaking of truth as in sound doctrine. I am speaking of the lies that keeps others in bondage. The lies that keep them bound in fear. The enemy hates truth. Behind the hatred of people, I see fear in their eyes. Torment. The absence of peace. What lies are you hiding? Nothing gets worked out in secret. Bring those lies out into the light and you will see kingdoms collide in a profound way. Bring those lies out into the light and bring glory to the one that sets free from torment and fear.
I ask you, what does “every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God” truly mean. Does it mean partly? Or all? (2 Peter 3: 9) “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”
The Spirit speaks so clearly lately. Maybe I am wrong and it is my voice, and if I am wrong, I will not argue with God. I know God is good. I know God is right and just in every outcome. I am not demanding or disturbed at the thought of some men perishing for their wicked ways. But I was once wicked also. Recently God brought my daughter home and amid praise of what He has done for our family, He showed me His love for His children.
The ones I hate.
God could have withheld forgiveness from my daughter. God could have withheld forgiveness from me. God could have been spiteful, condemning, and rejected my daughter because of her addiction that had drawn her into darkness, away from Him and His mercy. Instead, God drew her. Now I believe I am asked to do the same to all His children. To love His children, rather than reject based off of outward appearance. The question is: who are His children? Which ones? Because I surely do not want to stand one day before a Holy God and weep because I inflicted much suffering upon those that He were His.
Which ones are loved by God?
All?
I want to take you to Lamentations 4: 8-9 which says “Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick. They that be slain with the sword are better than the that be slain with hunger: for these pine away, stricken through for want of the fruits of the field.”
Notice the lack of flesh. What is flesh? I always assumed flesh is the skin. Skin is the garment, ours washed clean by our saviour. Flesh is the meaty part. The meat.
Lamentations 4:4 The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man breaketh it unto them.
I return to “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
I ask: Is the Lord mighty to save? I ask: is there enough power in the Lamb’s blood to cover ALL on the day of Judgement? I ask: Does the Lamb have the right to claim ALL out of the enemies’ hand? Does the Lamb have the right to say: Mine, mine, MINE! I paid for them ALL!
How could The Lord be just in claiming ALL? By the saints! By those of His flesh and bone, those “born of God”, born a new birth from above. By their prayers and petitions that are heard on High. Day and night. By the cries of His bride for her enemies. By the flesh of those “born of God”. We were once sinners. Haters of God. Vile. Retched. Lovers of the darkness and pleasure. What are we now? ONLY through the blood of the sacrificial Lamb (the first fruit) …are we not now pure, spotless, holy, and redeemed” Have we not been made clean? Are we now Christ's flesh and bone? His help meet? Is that flesh not now fit for the altar(through Christ that lives in us)? Is that spiritual flesh and bone now His?
Romans 8: 35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Acts 8: 32-33 “The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
I am paraphrasing but consider: Pick up your cross and follow me. You must hate the world and even your own life, or you cannot be my disciple. Come out of the world. We are sheep. We are meat for those that persecute us. Christ showed us the way to the altar. He laid down His life for us. 1 John 3:16 "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." Christ showed us what it means to give up our free will to become a living sacrifice. We are sheep. Sheep for the slaughter for those that are as we once were: Haters of God. Vile. Retched. Lovers of the darkness and pleasure.
Ephesians 5: 30 “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
4 Then shall they cry unto the Lord, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
5 Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priest thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us.
12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
