JESUS appears in the air FIRST

But do you know why???
It means, In His majesty !
In the Air means, it has to do with the Holy Spirit !

No one is going to be floating up in the physical air, literally ! That's so stupid and pathetic ! Only carnal idiots believe in rubbish like that, for they lack understanding of the workings of the Holy Spirit in fact, because it just does not work that way at all ! Never !

One has to look at such with the Holy Spirit ! Not carnal idiots reading their Bible, as in just from a literal nonsense that any fool can see.

When I come across that a carnal person that agrees with me, I would start to worry about the subject matter. because what the hell would they know. for they are clearly Lost !

Jesus the Christ is coming in his majesty ! = Salvation comes from his majesty ! It always has in fact !

That Dead who rise first is a Spiritual issue ! for They are the Saints ! Saints be praised, is a fact or reality regarding the Holy Spirit ! Of cause they are with all who are as one in the Holy Spirit, such with in as we are all linked and united in fact !
No bodys bones are coming up out of the graves at all ! that's pathetic, it's in regards the Holy Spirit = such as their Souls. that's the backup for who are alive acting as one ! all such are united under the Holy Spirit !

So it's not a mans works issue at all !

Every eye will see Him ! that's clearly a Holy Spirit issue ! simple and true for such will see !

What if...

"THE Rapture" is just "A rapture.?"

The base word, in Greek, simply means "to take."

It is used 13 times in Scripture, twice in one verse, which can be expressed as "forcibly taken."

It is used, by Jesus, when he described a thief "TAKING" (rapturing) the possessions of a strong man.

It is used when Philip baptized a eunuch and was (harpazo'd) "raptured," to a location just 40 miles west of his starting point.

So... Here is the "what if..."

What if the "rapture," is just a method God uses to transport us to New Jerusalem after we are judged?

The “rapture” describes how ALL believers are taken to heaven when it’s time to leave this world.

As Jesus said, whoever believes in him shall never SEE death.

As Paul said WE who are live and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. Paul included himself as one who would be caught up “raptured”.

I appreciate the response.

I do accept Scripture, especially above the manmade interpretations of God's Word.

There are so many out there...

I just love that verse that tells us the Rapture will take us to heaven, although I can't recall it exactly.

Correct, that’s because a believer is not subject to any from of death we have eternal life.

No, believers are subject to the first death, death of the physical body. Only some at the second coming will not die that death.

Not to heaven but to where the clouds are.

He was hoping to be but he died and did not live to see the rapture happen. It still hasn't happened yet.

The death of the body happens to everyone. The question is whether or not a person is taken out of this world prior to the death of the body or whether a person stays in this body when it dies.

Paul wasn’t hoping, he knew exactly what he was talking about. The problem is that the rapture heresy is so ingrained in churches today that people ignore what is written and twist it to fit their doctrine.

No, he hoped to live to see the second coming and rapture but didn't. They all did and every generation since has thought they were in the same days but all of them were wrong.

A person's soul and spirit are in the body when it dies, then they leave and return to God. That is the first death. The second death is when that same dead body is resurrected and dies a second time in the LOF.

If you throw out the actual words of the Bible I guess you can make mean whatever you it to mean.

I guess if you believe that then it’ll be so.

It is the gathering of the bride as depicted in mat 24 and 25

Jesus said it at the last supper.
Plus the innumerable number are there during the trib having been martyred in the gt.

Words need to be understood, otherwise those same words can be badly misunderstood as it is in this very case.

It’s kind of impossible to misunderstand “we”.

Grammatically in the KJV, the word “we” in “we which are alive and remain” does include Paul himself.

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:15 (KJV): “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.”
  • 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (KJV): “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds…”
In plain English grammar, when a writer says “we”, he is including himself among those described — unless he specifically excludes himself. Paul doesn’t say “you” or “they”; he says “we”, which naturally counts him in.

The only way to read it otherwise would be interpretive (commentary), not grammatical.

You see your privately interpreting the verse. That’s not allowed in Bible study. The words mean what they mean and we have to respect that in order to come to the truth.

Not really since you have misunderstood it already. Example: We who are alive when Christ returns shall be raptured. I hope I am among that "we" but I am speaking of "we" as the members of the body of Christ, whoever they will be. Paul was doing the same.

It’s funny how you hope you will be a part of it while Paul is literally telling you that you will be. I don’t get it but to each his own I guess.

Paul was writing to his fellow Christians in Thessalonica. They, who were reading Paul's letter at the time, along with Paul, were "the we" alive at the time.

In the context of verse 15 and 17, that you quoted, the "we" simply means Christians alive at the time the rapture takes place.
