Jesus didn't come to fulfill CULTURE. He came to fulfill the LAW.

It was ALSO in their culture to refeer to their parents aas "Mother" and "Father".
Jesus
called HIS Mother, "Woman" because He was associating her with the WOMAN in Gen 3:16., whose offspring would crush the head of the Serpent

This was a title of MUCH more respect and honor than just
"Mother".
Do your homework . . .
Post 539 is the Joy of my Salvation

Come to Christ and surrender all, and you also will rejoice in Salvation

Bread of Life: prove with Scripture alone Joseph had two wives?
The burden of proof is on you.
Your doctrine is based on Joseph having two wives.
Give scripture.
I've already asked once.
You have failed to support your doctrine with book, chapter and verse.
You have zero scriptural evidence.
YOU prove with Scripture that Mary had OTHER children.
Dodge.
I've already given scripture multiple times.
You've given none.
I'm waiting.

If you want to maintain that Jesus’s adelphoi were Mary’s biological sons, you still need a single verse that actually calls them “sons of Mary.”
No I don't.
That is a rule you've come up with.
Show me Gods word requires this rule?
Nowhere is it taught that those exact words must be used.
Matthew 13:55-56 identifies Mary mother of Jesus as having children.

- is not this the carpenters Son, is not His mother called Mary and His brethren James, Joses, and Simon and Judas and His sisters are they not with us

Jesus is identified as the carpenters Son.
His mother is identified as Mary.
His brethren are then named James, Joses, Simon, Judas.
His sisters are also mentioned.

You are making an argument from absence.
The passage itself does not require your requirement.

Mark 6:3,
- is not this the carpenter, the Son of Mary the brother of James and Joses, and Juda and Simon are not His sisters here with us

Jesus Son of Mary. Brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon.

The Greek uses adelphos the ordinary new testament word for brother.
Paul also calls James, Jesus' brother.
Galatians 1:19,
- but other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lords brother

The Biblical evidence does not depend on the exact phrase "sons of Mary".

Not once does the Greek use specific greek word for cousins.

If you receive the words of the LORD and His Holy Apostles, in faith and you turn away from the RCC idolatry, you will be Saved.
That’s funny. YOU said that you ONLY quote the Bible for your doctrines – yet you make this unbiblical claim. But, I understand that haters of truth always resort to cheap shots when they run OUT of Scriptural ammunition.

Being a hypocrite won’t get you to
Heaven . . .

More proof you have no integrity or credibility.
You will perpetuate any lie you find on the internet in an effort to appear to be the true church.
You don't even care that first you framed me as a protestant, without any concern of misrepresenting me.
Nobody "Framed" you.
That's precisely what you ARE - a Protestant.

Whining about that doesn't make it "go away" . . .

Romans 16:16,
- greet one another with a Holy kiss, the churches of Christ salute you

That's Paul, a member of the churches of Christ!!! Just as all born again christians are added to the Lords church,
Paul is talking about the ONE CHURCH in different places. Jesus proclaimed that HIS Church is ONE – as He and the Father are ONE (John 17:20-23).

He’s NOT talking about a gaggle of different churches.

1809 is not when the Lords church was established.
It was established on pentecost in ad 30-33.
YUP.
And it exists today in His Catholic Church.

YOUR man-made sect can only be traced back to the 19th century.
The Catholic Church can be traced ALL the way back to the Apostles at
Pentecost . . .
Wrong. Stone and Campbell did not create their own church/sect.
You are telling the same lies the denominational, protestant churches started.

The protestants are a sect off of the catholic sect.
Never was their intention to go back to new testament christianity.
Their intention was to reform the catholic church to what they wanted.

Therefore it was a reformation. Blah, blah, blah, blah . . .
Thank you for that rather VERBOSE, yet ultimately pointless history . . .
It’s ALL just a desperate attempt to divorce yourself from Protestantism – who YOU are a part of.

You are the one guilty of using culture.
I was only responding to your accusation.

You know this but you will use any trick you can to appear as a sound teacher.
HUH??

YOU’RE the one who made the following statement about CULTURE in post #533:
“It was their CULTURE to have children!!!”

I merely corrected you . . .

Catholic church is just another man made church.
It was and always will be a counterfeit church pretending to be the church Christ established.
And repeating a LIE doesn’t make it true . . .

Acts 9:31
talks about how the Early Church grew throughout the region. The language used here describes the Catholic Church:
“Then the whole church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced peace and thus was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, the church increased in numbers.”

According to Strong’s Greek Concordance
Here is the phrase in Greek:
η μεν ουν εκκλησια καθ ολης της ιουδαιας

The Catholic Church gets its name from the GREEK for “according to the whole” and “universal” - εκκλησια καθ ολης, which is pronounced “katah-holos”.

Εκκλησια (ekklesia) - A gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, an assembly; CHURCH
καθ (katah) - Through out, according to
ολης (holos) - All, whole, completely
"ekklesia Kata-holos"
= CATHOLIC CHURCH.

Game.
Set.
MATCH.

You’re misunderstanding the point. I’m not inventing a “rule,” and I’m not saying Scripture must use a particular phrase. I’m saying something much simpler and entirely textual
You most certainly are.
If you want to maintain that Jesus’s adelphoi were Mary’s biological sons, you still need a single verse that actually calls them “sons of Mary
By your rule if I cannot produce a verse that says "sons of Mary" then according to your rule they are not Jesus' brothers and sisters.

Only Jesus is ever explicitly called the Son of Joseph (Matthew 13:55; Luke 4:22) and the Son of Mary (Mark 6:3). If the men listed as Jesus’s adelphoi were also Mary’s biological sons, then Matthew and Mark had every opportunity to say so—especially in the very verses where they name the adelphoi. Yet they never do
Its unnecessary.
That's why the scriptures dont go by your rule.
Mark literally calls these other men Jesus' adelphoi.
This is ordinary new testament word for brothers.

Literally the brother of James and Joses, and Judas and Simon.
Mark calls Jesus their adelphos.

Where is your scriptural evidence Joseph had two wives?

Whining about that doesn't make it "go away" .
You are not a kind hearted "Christian".
You do not show humility only an authority complex.

1Timothy 2:24-25,
- and the servant of the Lord must not strive but be gentle unto all men...
Patient in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves, if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.

Wheres the verses that Joseph had two wives?

Arrogance on display.
Teaching the gospel isnt about putting others down, trying to win arguments by any means.
It's only about helping others see their error, so that they may come to the knowledge of the truth.
This is only accomplished by being humble, kind, patient towards anyone who opposes the truth.
Being condescending will never win the erring over to the truth.
You only confirm you are not someone I want to be in fellowship with.

He has stated a practice that identifies the RCC.
Exodus 20:4-5,
- thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, thou shalt not bow down thyself to them

It's a common practice of Catholics around the world to have an altar of Mary that is bowed down while they pray.
Very common in Mexico.
The Lady of Guadalupe.

Praying is a form of worship.
Acts 2:42,
- Christian's continued in the apostles doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers
This verse is describing worship of the new testament church.

Acts 22:17,
- I prayed in the temple

Catholics use uninspired writings as this is the only way they can appear to be teaching Biblical doctrine.
Bread of Life always uses uninspired men to promote his doctrine because he cannot prove his doctrines from the Bible alone.
Hello Titus.

It is true that Catholics and some Protestant denominations use, what you call, "uninspired writings" to understand what is written in Scripture because, as we know, there are some things that are hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. From what you have written it appears to me your Protestant denomination does not accept inspired writings unless they are the writings of the men from your church?

Are the men from your church that have taught you to believe what you are preaching about Mary having children "inspired"?

Curious Mary

HUH??
What are you talking about??

I NEVER made this claim. I simply showed you an alternative source that makes this claim. I showd this to you as yet another proof that the Early Church UNANIMOUSLY taught that Mary had only ONE child - Jesus.

I believe – as Scripture shows - that the Adelphoi of Jesus named in the NT were the children of Mary’s Adelphe, who is named as Mar wife of Clopas/Alphaeus.

Face it – you’re argument has been completely
destroyed . . .
Dodge.
I've already given scripture multiple times.
You've given none.
I'm waiting.
Uhhh, no you didn’t.

I destroyed your FALSE position that Mary had other children. The Bible NEVER makes this claim.
ALL you did was show verses where the Adelpjoi of Jesus were mentioned.

Give me ONE verse that says Mary had children OTHER than Jesus.

That’s a great verse – but it doesn’t refer to YOU.

There won't be any hypocrites in Heaven . . .

Did you learn NOTHING from Scripture:
Matt. 7:1-2

“Judge not, that you be not judged. 2For with the judgment YOU pronounce YOU will be judged, and with the measure YOU use it will be measured to YOU.

Your unbelief is not directed towards me BUT it is directed towards CHRIST and His Holy Apostles

He has stated a practice that identifies the RCC.
Exodus 20:4-5,
- thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, thou shalt not bow down thyself to them
I sure hope YOU don't have any pictures of Aunt Winnie or Grampa Joe on your mantle, pictures of your kids in your wallet or phone or a Wedding Album.
ALL of these fall into the "Graven Image " category . . .

It's a common practice of Catholics around the world to have an altar of Mary that is bowed down while they pray.
Very common in Mexico.

Acts 22:17,
- I prayed in the temple
WRONG.
Worship is form of Prayer . . .

WOW
- what complete ignorance.
Time for a Language Lesson . . .

The MAIN definition of “Pray” simply means to ASK or to PLEAD with.
Worship or adoration is just ONE definition of “Pray”. It’s a secondary definition.

*********************************************
Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary:

Full Definition of pray
transitive verb
1:
entreat, implore —often used as a function word in introducing a question, request, or plea<pray be careful>
2: to get or bring by praying

intransitive verb
1:
to make a
request in a humble manner
2:
to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving
*********************************************

The word “Pray” is legal and juridical language that is STILL used in court documents to this day.

Acts 27:34

"Wherefore I PRAY you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you".

So, was Paul engaging in the “WORSHIP” of his fellow prisoners?
OR, was he simple pleading with them?

Do your HOMEWORK before embarrassing yourself again . . .
