If you are for a global earth, I am not against you. Longyearbyen simply sits with mountains on three sides limiting the view, especially to the south. I get your point. It is good.

No, and the words people try to claim do show proof either way, are easily explained as metaphor.

Earth is sphere confirmed by locations that can see stars that other loc's cant.
Eg Peru & Cross Slea Head Ireland
Peru sees Sigma Octantis yet Cross Slea Head Ireland can't.
Odd considering Cross Slea Head has a a clear view of the NA ocean

Even so, the word "sphere" in the Bible is no more proof of a global earth, than is "corners of the earth" proof of a flat earth.

Neither do I see how the Bible can be used to explain the shape of the earth, to do that requires a lot of "imagination".

Yes, I have my own proof--not as elaborate as yours, for sure--but proof nonetheless.

That's false. I used to believe the earth was flat as well, but changed my mind after I looked into it more deeply, the earth is most certainly a sphere, like a ball.

If the earth is flat then why can't we see the sun at night when we can see the stars that are much further away?

It's definitely not a round ball. It is supposed to be an oblate pear shaped spheroid. Spheroids are squat on the top. I am still not getting any satisfactory answers on the things that seem to support a flat earth. Like why you can still see things beyond the supposed six mile limit when everything is supposed to be out of sight on a globe.

In terms of mass, 1 kg at the North Pole is identical to 1 kg at the equator. However, in terms of weight (the force of gravity pulling on that mass), 1 kg weighs about 0.5% more at the North Pole than it does at the equator
