Neh 8:2 Then Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly of men, women and all who could listen with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.
Neh 8:3 He read from it before the square which was in front of the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of men and women, those who could understand; and all the people were attentive to the book of the law.
Neh 8:8 They read from the book, from the law of God, translating to give the sense so that they understood the reading.
Neh 8:9 Then Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn or weep.” For all the people were weeping when they heard the words of the law
Neh 8:10 Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Gal 3:22-24 But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.
Rom 10:8 But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
I had gotten a bit done that last few days with my business and I was hoping to get quite a bit more done today. Yet in that time I spend with the Lord at the start of the day He asked me to cover this information on the forum.
This last week at my church's service, I heard the all too familiar idea that the "Book" is the Word of God, and that we also need to they and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
What book, which is called "the Law" were they reading from then? Isn't "The Book" which is called "the Law", the Scriptures?
When I go to my Bible, which I believe are the Scriptures and thus that Book of the Law, I do not go to find it in my heart!! I have a number of copies of that book in several places, but it is not to my heart that I go to find it!!!!! Simply put, none of my Bible are always near me!!!
Yet when I go to find words from my Lord, I do go looking inside me, and I find what He tells me in my heart and sometimes I even find that what was in my heart is coming out my mouth, before I realize I had words from my Lord.!!
That information has been revealed to me!! Which is the same thing as saying Jesus Christ has been revealed to me, but He gives me personal instructions - like come make this post.
Indeed, when I sat down with Him this morning and listen to Him, who I call My Lord and the Word of God, because I hear instructions in word coming from my heart (that spiritual location inside me where I hear Him speaking words to me); He told me to open up the Bible (of which I had two Bibles handy) and picking up the first Bible, I heard Him tell me that Bible was ok and He asked me to just open it. When I did it happened to open to that part of Nehemiah, and when it did He told me "that's the place", and upon reading it He pointed out how the book was the Law!!
It was not called the Word of God! That was not the name used for "the book"! "The Law" was the name used for the book which His people read from at their gathering. Yet, as He has told me numerous times (like when He told me 'Karl I want you to preach the Word, but not as it is so often preached today. I want you to preach I AM the Word of God)
People - He is not the Law, He is Jesus Christ and that needs to be revealed to you!! The Book (your Bible, the Holy Scriptures) is "The Law". When you read from 'The Book of the Law' it will cause you grief and perhaps my also cause you to weep!
Again - For all the people were weeping when they heard the words of the law
So they had to be told that: Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
The Scriptures, being the Book of the Law, bring grieving because they make us aware of what sinners we are!! Yet the revelation of Jesus Christ, that He is there with His grace, forgiveness, mercy, teachings, and instructions, winds up being us the joy of the Lord!! He is our strength! So He must be listened to, As the Word of God!!
He is not the book of the Law!!!
And so the book of the Law is not Him!!
He is the Word of God!!
Rev 19:13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
And so the book of the Law is not Him!!! The bible is like a tudor to keep us until He has been revealed to us!! So has He!!
Has He actually been revealed to you???
The answer may lie in whether you believe the Word of God is that book which they read from or whether you believe the Word of God is Him!!
Now I got some work to do on my business too. Hopefully Christian we start getting enough understanding that they will start actually seeking Him. He will explain this to you, like He explained this to me, if you care to seek His voice and listen!!
