I have a legitimate question in reply to your statement in your post:
How can you give God the glory when it is His to begin with and you never had none?
Another way of putting it is to desire to glorify God; the redeemed heart, through faith in Christ and His work at the Cross for sinner, has a melody in his or her heart. "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" (Ephesians 5.19).

I do believe that God's expectations of you
are much higher than your own expectations of you.

Do you believe I am correct about you?

I have a legitimate question in reply to your statement in your post:
Do you pollute the grace of God with your sins?
It's by grace that I am saved; cleansed.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast."

I want to phrase my answer according to Biblical ideas.
I have a legitimate question in reply to your statement in your post:
Why don't you phrase your answer as according to the truth in your own heart?

The short answer is that I honestly believe I am cleansed through faith; I honestly believe what these verses say:

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1.18-19)

I have a legitimate question in reply to your statement in your post:
To what degree do you believe it? To the degree you value it so much
that there is nothing in your life more valuable than it?

Strongly.

John's First Epistle says a lot about the believer's assurance; great to read; 5 chapters. Also: Romans 8; excellent reading.

But not strong enough to cease from sin?
Is this correct?

But not strong enough to make Jesus first in all things?
Is that correct?

If you read John's First Epistle and Romans 8, you will see that the believer in the Person and Work of Christ is no longer under the penalty and power of sin.
I have a legitimate question in reply to your statement in your post:
Jesus stated that when you sin you are a servant of sin.
Is this still true as of today?

Romans 8 has the answer; the believer is not under the penalty or power of sin.
