Adam & Eve were not practitioners of any of the above.

It took only ONE instance of disobedience to God’s sole commandment:

“…of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” (Gen 2:17, KJV)

Modern, watered down, translation.

Whosoever sinneth (ο αμαρτανων). Present (linear) active articular participle like μενων above, "the one who keeps on sinning"

The translators were obviously aware of this dilemma: It is pretty much the universal testimony of Christians through the ages that they occasionally do commit sin. If Christians are completely incapable of sin, then every sinful thought, every failure to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and every failure to love your neighbor as yourself, and not selling all you have and giving the proceeds to the poor to follow Jesus means you're not saved. Not to mention it blatantly contradicts what the author wrote earlier in the same letter:

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. (1 John 1:8-9; 2:1-2)

So, the translators, noting the present active participle form of the verb. translated it as an ongoing action, "practice sinning". Frankly, I think this misses the point. The rhetorical purpose of the letter is to exhort the reader to avoid sin.

I'm more intrigued by this one. Those here who say they have "walked in the Spirit" describe it in terms that sound like an altered state of consciousness. But that is something only God can make happen; it doesn't seem to be something we can do at will. Why doesn't He do this more often and with all believers?

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil…” (1Jn 3:9-10, KJV)

How prideful and defiant it must be to openly sin and be unashamed to show it!

But, as the scripture says:

“The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul!” (Isa 3:9, KJV)
