Romans 1:17 (NKJV)
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

‘The just shall live by faith’

This is a common truth many Christians are aware of, it is agreed with, for it is known this is the way things are meant to be; trusting God in all things…. But the question needs to be asked; is one trusting God with the heart, or is one mentally consenting to the truths of scripture one reads, like one would mentally consent to the truths one would read in a science book…? One goes deep into the heart and changes the life itself, the other elevates one’s thinking because of the information that is held onto but has no power over the works of the self-life.…

For the faith one is to live by has power over the works of the life of self, for the life of self, are the works of the flesh, just as works of own will are the same…. All describing the life of this fallen world one received at the time of one’s birth into it… The faith one is to live by has power over this life, or put another way, if one has not the power to overcome the works of own will one is not living by the faith scripture is pointing to… So then what is this faith scripture says one is to live by that has the power to overcome this life…?

It is faith in Christ’s whole process of salvation, that being faith in being joined both in His death and resurrection, dying to the old and alive to the new; being confident that God is able to preform what He has promised… For to live by faith is to live by trusting God to manifest His will in all things, which will is righteousness itself being manifested in all of one’s doings… But for this faith to be effective one must want God’s will of righteousness to be manifested in all of one’s doings…

This is where faith goes into the heart and is effective, when the heart wants God’s will of righteousness above all things to be manifested…. This is the faith one is to live by, for this faith has the power to overcome all the things of this world…

Blessed is the heart that embraces it….
