God calls and predestinates, justifies and glorifies. PTL.
Romans 8:29-30 29
For whom ""He did foreknow,"" he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.========= God is outside time! God sees our life from start to end in the "now". God sees those that will choose to believe and be born-again and those people God calls and predestinates, justifies and glorifies. PTL.

So why your obession with Christian only being saved if they are expecting Jesus's return when he returns.

The basic understanding of this verse is that God has saved his people before he created the world. There is nothing here about the work required to be saved of expecting Jesus.

If you believe God's Word and see all the signs Jesus says we would see just before His return you would know that we are living in the last days and we need to be ready to meet Jesus. Believe God's Word and expecting to see Jesus very soon is NOT a work it is just having faith and believing!

A lot of confusion here.

If we get away from religion for a moment and look at what Paul is saying but from a different angle.

Now God knows those who will become astronauts. He sees the future after all. So then those He knew were predestined to be astronauts did grade school...and then high school...then became pilots. Not everyone who goes to grade school becomes an astronaut. But then every astronaut went to grade school.

The same goes for being conformed to the image of Christ. VERY rare indeed. But not everyone who is called is chosen. The bible says many are called but few are chosen. You are ignoring that truth to get to what you want the bible to say to you.

But since you are coming at this from a religious indoctrination anyway...

Yes! Many (all) are called but few are chosen. Why?? because God has foreknowledge that many will choose to reject Him and choose to live in their sins.

How do you know you haven't been glorified? Not to mention are being glorified? Of course, we will also receive glory in the time to come!

Much love!
