You need to meditate more on the fact that God put Himself in a human body. Exactly the same human body you and I have. All of its weaknesses. Need for food, pleasure, fear of pain etc etc....in all this He resisted and did not sin...resisted to the point of sweat turning to blood.

It is correct to say that. God put Himself 100% into a human body. He '''was one'' with the human body. It died, He died. He anticipated / experienced the pain of suffering and death just as much as each of us would. If we say He did not die, then we have to say nobody dies. As we all have an eternal spirit.

    Peace and Love to everyone,

Christ and The Most High are to seperate entties. Christ is the Son and The Most High is the Father.

    1. (Luk 18:19) And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

    2. (Joh 14:1) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (Why would Christ say this if he was The Most High?) Becasue they are sperate.

(Joh 14:2) In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

    3. (Joh 4:34) Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

    4. (1Jn 5:7) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (The Word is Christ. All 3 are in one agreement with one another. They are all seperate, but agreee as one body.)

    5. (Luk 23:46) And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. (While Christ was on the cross dying for our sins, he prayed to The Most High.)

After reading these scriptures, one can see that Chirst and The Most High are two seperate entities. The Most High did not die on the cross, Christ did.

    Peace and Love

    Hello,

Where does it say that The Most High put himself in a human body and he was Christ? (scriptural proof please)

Given the two options, "God died on the cross" and "God did not die on the cross," I'll take the former, because the latter to me seems clearly incorrect (if you understand that Jesus is God and that Jesus died on the cross).

However, "God died on the cross" can easily be taken to mean several things that I don't intend. So I wouldn't phrase it that way. To force one fully to accept or reject a statement like that is really a false dichotomy.

So . . . have you stopped beating your wife yet?

Everyone who voted Jesus is not God is INSULTING His death!

Jesus was crucified because of His claim of deity!

But I can understand why. 1 Cor 12:3 says nobody can call Jesus Lord except by the Holy Spirit. Then Matt 16:16-17...Peter...a Jew...who believe as we do that there is ONE God, deified Him after a revelation NOT from flesh and blood but from above!!!!

Jesus is not a liar and He said John 10:30.

Jesus is God. God is Jesus. Jesus died. God died. He said He came to die for us. God said He came to dies for us. God is not a liar. Not sure how it could be any simpler. Lets not confuse ourselves or give the devil any breathing space on this.

    ?
Well I wouldn't know where to start to be honest. ALL of scripture points to it. Its the single reason we have it. Abraham was chosen and suddenly God made His ways / Himself known to men.
Before that it was simply , hate sin / repent and live or love sin / harden your heart and die.

There are many verses in the Bible in which Jesus is described,by himself, and others as The Son of God,and as The Messiah.

But I only know of 2 verses where he actually called God.

Can anybody on this forum provide 3 verses from the Bible saying that Jesus is God?And remember that the word "Lord" in old english does not mean God.

If you reject the claim the first two times you see it, why would you accept it the third time?

Hahahaha...nice one Sola! All I can come up with is "two or three witnesses make a matter true." And "where two or three are gathered in my name..."????

I don't See a lot of proof from the NT, that comes right out and declares Jesus God? However, I do see a lot from the OT, where God is always calling Himself Redeemer and Savior. He always declares "There is no other!" Well, we Christians believe Jesus is Savior and Redeemer, and Yahweh declares no other but Himself can be Savior. So if we believe Jesus is Savior, then He is Yahweh (because only Yahweh can save).

Here are four -- an extra in case you don't buy the "I Am" claim:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." --John 1:1

John 1:14ff makes it clear that the Word in verse 1 is Jesus.

"Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”" --John 8:58

Jesus is making clear claim to deity here, and if there's any doubt about that, verse 59 clears it up. In response to Jesus' claim, the Pharisees picked up stones to stone him -- because they considered it blaspheme.

"Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”" --John 20:28

In verse 28, Jesus affirms Thomas (and all others who, like Thomas, believe).

"But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom." --Hebrews 1:8

That is the Father talking to the Son, and the Father calls the Son God.

    The poll question is misleading.

The only reason it isn't correct to say God died on the cross is because Jesus Christ, God The Son, is Who is specific to dying on the cross, not The Father. Jesus Christ dying on the cross does NOT... detract in any way from His Divine Nature in The Godhead as God The Son, or His Name Immanuel which means 'God with us'.
