There is always one or two Scriptures that prove the truth, and there is no other understanding without twisting or ignoring the truth:
When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice. (Deut 4)
God's people are promised by their God to be in tribulation for their good, to turn us to God and purify our hearts.
Even in the latter days.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
When Jesus told them plainly of His generation, that their generation would see the tribulation of the last days come to pass, He either meant it, or He was playing a game of 'prophetic riddles', and so deceiving them who believe His every word to be out of the mouth of God and true as spoken.
The reason they were staring up into the sky waiting for His return, was because of that very promise of His to their generation.
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh.
All things fulfilled was the prophesy of Joel for the last days, and was confirmed by Peter preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and the cross for the first time on earth.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come.
Since the beginning days of the churches of God, the Comforter has come as promised to comfort all them in great tribulation, which was, and which is, and which is to come unto the end.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
It was, still is, and shall be impossible for any Christian to avoid the tribulation of the last days, because the churches of God have been in them since the resurrection of Jesus Christ, wand many antichrists already have come to deceive and destroy the faith of Jesus in the hearts of the believers.
We should neither avoid it, nor seek God to snatch us out of the way of it, but rather be prepared for it and be strengthened to endure it unto the end.
But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile.
We seek to avoid tribulation and wrath of God, that destroys both body and soul in hell, not to avoid tribulation and wrath of men that, purifies our hearts and souls.
There is no question about when the tribulation of the last days will begin, and will the saints endure it, but rather when will these last days of tribulation end, and the Lord returns to the earth with His resurrected saints, that did, do, and shall endure to the end.
