Hello to all, I'm here to learn, to understand why things are the way they are in the so called Bible believing-Christianity, specifically the contradicting Christian beliefs vs. the Bible??
I was brought up in a very conservative Christian denomination (girls/women wore head covering, no TV or radio, pray before AND after meals, etc.) yet our actions were very much contrary to what we professed.
I pray with all my heart that maybe I will find someone here who can give me a satisfactory answer other than the usual 'blind faith' acceptance, .. for example: "As far as I know, this is how it always been", .. which is OK as long as I have been provide evidence, .. right?
But then, if there is evidence, specifically Biblical evidence for the way we believe and do things, then that's not on blind faith, but faith that is based on evidence with substance. You know, the good ol' As It Was Written, so shall it be done, ..
Walk in Unity
Ephesians 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Again, I thank you all, and may God bless us all!
