Most Christians believe in a false Jesus that tortures most of humanity forever.
I'm a "jerk" because I believe differently than you?
People have limited "free choice", just ask Jonah.People are allowed to exercise their free choice...
There is a problem....I think if you need those terms defined, then there might be a problem.
Lamentations 3:31 For the Lord will not cast off forever.Ah Patrick, Jesus does not torture mankind if they chose to not acknowledge him as their Lord and Saviour.
On the contrary, you have to reject a plethora of scripture that says that, in the end, ALL people will be with God.Patrick there is a really big wide and deep ditch between what we respectfully call God's truth. Your truth is based on a flawed understanding because of the way you read the scriptures.
You didn't perceive incorrectly.Hmmm, well, sorry but the way you went about this, you made me think your a troll.
Hey I am better looking than a trollHmmm, well, sorry but the way you went about this, you made me think your a troll.
Amen brother, thank you for sharing would agree with you on what you have to say here Journey. Have a lot of thoughts in my head today about many things concerning my very own life. God is good, and to go around trying to fight and bicker, with the world at large, Jesus came to save it and we should be considerant of others and there views, even if they happen to be gay or transgender.Interesting testimony. I don't what to say except maybe, everyone is on their own journey. Even though Jesus is the only way, how we get connected to Jesus for the first time is often different. I just so happened to have grown up in a family that believed in Jesus and studied the Bible. My dad told me the gospel when I was 6 years old and I accepted it. There has been lots of doubts and issues along the way, and as a result I have asked God for forgiveness of my sins many many times. Some believe that you only do that once, and it's done. That is probably true, except life is tough, and holding onto faith can be tough too. Perhaps that is why the Bible tells us to renew our minds. I don't claim to be an expert, and I'm fine with that. I just do the best I can with God's help to stay in the faith.
I have asked myself that very question! As much as I want to say it was all terrible, the honest answer is, there have been some good times, but not very many. I have noticed that as time has gone on, things have declined. Churches should want people to come and get right with Jesus. But now it seems like they just want their social club with members that only think and behave just like them.
But Jonah, even while in the Whale, still exercised his free choice.People have limited "free choice", just ask Jonah.

I don't know, which brings a thought to mind. What if the Christian was brought up in a family that was mean-spirited. That would likely cause a child to grow up like their parents, and if they have difficulty being nice to people then they could still be a real Christian as long as they tried their best, or perhaps God will bring healing to them and change them later. Some theologies cause some Christians to be mean.
Love your enemiesProbably.
The two most important things that Jesus wants are for people to love God and to love one another. As Jesus said, what one does to another they also do to him!
One person knows the scriptures by heart and perfectly understands all scripture yet, they frequently belittle and disparage others. The next person knows very little scripture but is virtually always kind to others and bites their tongue and turns the other cheek as Christ commanded. Who is the more faithful follower of Christ? Who is more pleasing to Christ?
Put your legalisms and doctrines to the side and just love others. If you want to please Christ, do that!
May God bless you all!
Do interactions cause others to get angry?I don't know, which brings a thought to mind. What if the Christian was brought up in a family that was mean-spirited.
