I am not from the USA, but I am from the southernmost part of the planet, close to Antarctica. I don't hate anyone, particularly folks from the south of the USA. I have, and have had, many very good online friends from that part of the planet. My bestie, who has now changed her address to heaven, was from Alabama.

I have, and have had, many very good online friends from that part of the planet. My bestie, who has now changed her address to heaven, was from Alabama.

If you want to go to Antarctica, you nominally leave from an Argentina port and sail south. Chile is on the Pacific Ocean side of South America.

As for NZ being the southernmost part of the planet, that in of itself is a far stretch.

You are right. It is Chile and Argentina. We are the 3rd closest. We can fly from Christchurch (not tourists) because it serves as a primary international deep-south logistics hub and departure point for flights and ships heading to McMurdo Station and Scott Base

Not me. I am not American, but if I were, I cannot imagine hating somebody because of the part of the country they live in. In my own country (UK), I live in the south west of England. My wife came from Liverpool, in the north west of England. Obviously I didn't hate her - quite the opposite. It seems a strange attitude for a Christian to hate somebody based on where they live.

Yet you folks in the Isles also have a history of wars against each other, when the various Caucasian peoples of Europe and the Isles were all from the same root stock of Cimmerian tribes. To this day, the Anglo-Saxons try to claim the Celts are a different race, and this is one of the little known reasons of the strife between England and northern Ireland.

That history actually continued in the early United States history, since each peoples of Europe also migrated to America and wound up separating themselves according to how they had been in Europe and the Isles. The city dwellers in the Isles and Europe congregated together, and the workers of the land congregated together, with most the farmers making up the old South. The main industrialized part of the nation was in the North, along with the nation's main controllers, to include the "tares" that crept in not of our peoples. The customs and habits became more greatly apart between North and South, and the controllers in the North caused the War Between The States, the banking elites in the North supported by Lincoln and European banking families.

Thus bias from this division in the United States, between the North and the South, the Yankee and the Rebel, still exists to a certain degree, just as divisions exist in Britain between Germany or France, and visa versa.

Not racist at all, but based on history.

Yes, we had a civil war (Roundheads or Parliamentarians versus Cavaliers or Royalists) in the seventeenth century. Whether or not Celts are a different race to Anglo-Saxons is not a matter of hatred. I think if that were a cause for war, there would have been strife between Great Britain and the whole of Ireland, not just Ulster or Northern Ireland. Besides, the Northern Ireland troubles have been between two groups of Northern Irish people. The British army were sent in to try to sort the troubles out.

And that is how we should ALL... be.

I'm from the South, but I still hear bias from some Northerners that grew up in the North. In one conversation with a friend at work that was from upstate New York, he tried to correct my pronunciation of my hometown in the South that had a 'ville' ending on it. In my hometown Southern slang, we slur the vowels. And all over the South southerners slang does not say "ville" like it is spelled, but a short 'vul' instead on the end. Like Huntsville becomes 'Huntsvul'.

I told my friend from New York that for him, my hometown is pronounced the way he said it should be, but for me, since I'm from there, it is ".....vul". He didn't like me saying that and started in with a lot of the Northern bias sayings about Southerners. I then tried to reveal to him about how Southern slang, with all our 'yals' and slur of vowels came to be; from the slang of English of the British Isles, like Scotland, Cockney from Britain, etc. Then he got even more angry at me, which I then tried to tell him that the English language did not originate from Latin, but is a Germanic language, which it is. He then said Southern slang, that we got them from the African slaves slang of English. So still today, there still exists some... Northerners that still have an old bias against the South, which I attribute to their old generations of family and hatred by the "tares" that have crept in among them in the North.

Yes, and that's how I was raised. I'm 71 and I still at times say ma'am to women younger than me. We also say 'hun' or 'honey' to strangers, both male and female. But some Northerners get offended, especially in the North. And what's kind of funny, is some Northerners that have moved to the South start saying it too, but actually too much, like they are stressing it within the conversation.

One of my aunts married a man from Ohio. So I went to Ohio with my cousin to visit their family in Ohio. At breakfast they kept asking me questions, staring at me, with their heads in their hands on their elbows, until I said, "What's the matter? Why are yal staring and ask me all this stuff?" They said, "Oh, we just like to hear you talk." I was around 15 at the time. But I never really had a deep Southern accent, but actually closer most of the time to a midwest accent.

My sister taught school in Ohio for 14 years, and she said when first arrived, went to a gas station and asked him to check her 'oil'. He said, "check your what?" In Southern slang we say 'oil' as one syllable, straight 'ol'. We don't draw it out like they do in the North as 'o-yal' which is actually two syllables.

All in all, in today's time, I think both the North and South are more settled with each other. But I grew up in the '60's when there was still a whole lot of bias against Northerners. And that bias seemed greatest up in the mountain areas of the South, and in the deeper parts of the South.

I traveled a lot in the U.S. military overseas, so I've seen how peoples are in many different nations. We're all the same pretty much. The city dweller has one type of lifestyle, the urban and farming community have another.

I think the FIFA games in areas of both the North and the South revealed to visitors from other nations the reality of where the fake news they been getting comes from (i.e., the "tares" mainly who control those outlets). Lot of witnesses from other nations have commented on YouTube how things here in the U.S. are not like they've been told.

Back in the late 1980's, I was sent a news article from a Scottish newspaper by a pastor in Scotland where a DNA study had been done with the various Caucasian peoples of the Isles and Europe. The result: they were all descended from the same root stock of Cimmerian and Scythian tribes that migrated from the east into Asia Minor and Europe.
