My wife recently asked me to confirm that once we sell the house next year and move to be near my daughter that she won't have to work outside the home anymore after 47 years. My Husband: I choose to work this hard so your life can be easier.
Me: That means I need to obsess over housework and frugality to make up for not having an income, right?
Him: I literally just like when you relax.
Me: This is hard for me to understand.
Husband: Do you want our kids to stress about bills?
Me: No.
Husband: That's how I feel about you.
Even before all that, she couldn't understand why I told her throughout the marriage that I don't want her working that hard at home either. Just rest in the blessings God has provided, including having a husband, children and grandchildren who can do more of the heavy lifting.
