Library censorship and the idea that just anyone can come in and remove books from the library without ever having read them.
In the debate his opponent just spoke about pornographic books in the Fairfax school library and how parents were horrified and outraged and how the school board ignored parental demands. The "pornographic" book the outraged parent brought to the school board meeting was "Lawn Boy" by Johnathan Evison not pornographic but still an adult novel. The book in the school library was "Lawn Boy" by Gary Paulson, the story of a 12 year old who inherits a used lawn mower and begins his own lawn mowing business.
