How does it not speak of idols without breath? I’m not saying it is an idol, I’m saying is the warning of not building an idol, a warning to not build up that which is without breath. How does it not help with where He warns about edification of His body. What is built up on the foundation of Christ. Again, I am not suggesting that passage is about an idol. Paul is talking about the body of christ. All members of the body are one body. We are baptized into that Body by God himself.

He is saying that if we take one part of the body away, the body can not work to its full potential.. God has given each of us spiritual gifts. Each gift being used to make the body complete.

in context today, anything that we place above the importance of God is an Idol. Even Gods people can have idols that endanger them.
