this is a bad translation from the kings james version bible, which has led to many disputes over decades. because by this verse, people say that god creates evil, but that's what it may not have said in the greek translations.let's take a look at other translations of that same verse from other bibles as well:The NIV says, "I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things." (Note it does not say "peace – evil".)The New American Standard Bible says: "The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these." (Note it does not say "peace – evil".)And the English Standard Version: "I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things."NLT: 7 I create the light and make the darkness. I send good times and bad times.(Note it does not say "evil".)Stern's Complete Jewish Bible says: "I form light, I create darkness; I make well-being, I create woe; I Adonai do all these thingsThe text from KJV has actually taken the text beyond its intent, and there's alot of other bad translations that have come out of KJV, this is why people have re-written the bible in different versions, hence why we have so many of them. the complete jewish bible and NLT are better translations than the KJV, but that's my opinion.the word "evil" in the KJV is an incorrect translation of the verse. it should've been war, clamity, woe, plauges, diseases etc, etc.important question though to ask yourself ... if he did create evil, then that would imply that He created something to intentionally rebel against His authority? This makes absolutely no sense.
Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. Hell is an evil place He created it and it's torments and if any man denies it then He is likely to fall into it:Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness See how simple it is. There is no way to dispute this unless you have a froward mouth and a wicked imagination. I wish men would spend more time taking God's Word for what it is and learning, and less time running their ignorant mouths and denying the power of God to send us His PERFECT message. Men who do this will die in their ignorance:Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. He doesn't want to punish anyone, but when He does they know why and they will glorify Him whether He listens or not. TO HIS GLORY!! AMEN!
