This began as a request for all to discuss how many kingdoms in Daniel....
Daniel 2 — the statue (four metals)
Dan 2:39–40 — “After you shall arise another kingdom inferior to you, and a third… of bronze… And there shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron…”
(head of gold, chest/arms silver, belly/thighs bronze, legs/feet iron = four human kingdoms.
Daniel 7 — the beasts (four beasts)
Dan 7:3 — “Four great beasts came up out of the sea…”
Dan 7:17 — “These four great beasts are four kings/kingdoms that shall arise out of the earth.”
Dan 7:23 — “The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth…”
There are only 4 metals in the metal man statue. They are only 4 animal / animal like beings in chapter 7. The clay in chapter 2 is meant to symbolize the Jewish people that are held captive and subjugated within the Roman Empire at the time of Christ. God is / will reveal His plan of restoration of His people from their exile in Babylon in 606 BC throught these 4 kingdom periods. However, He will also reveal His plan of salvation and restoration for all of mankind in Daniel through the cross and the giving of His Holy Spirit on Pentecost through these same 4 and only 4 kingdoms. This is His plan and He has elected to reveal His plan through these 4 and only 4 kingdoms, the final kingdom will continue until His return. There are 4 kingdoms in Daniel and there are 4 kingdoms from Daniel that can be found in Revelation - no others. Revelation is essentially chapter 13 of Daniel......
