-- So when Peter spoke and the Holy Spirit gave him the words to say....Peter was actually wrong for speaking and should have just prayed?

Ummm.....no.

And the desire to reach lost souls for Jesus is hardly "carnal."

Sorry, but total seperation from your rights as a citizen ensure that your rights as a citizen (and a Christian) will be curtailed faster.
That may be fine for you - you're already saved.

But the ones that aren't Christians will be the ones who suffer - possible suffer eternal damnation - because people like you say we should sit on the sidelines and not ensure we can continue to share God's word.

.

What does this have to do with crop-dusting?

We are talking about voting and exercising the carnal rights of men.

Foreigner,

Ok, thanks for your lengthy response. And duhh, I overlooked the perspective that while we are led to the slaughter we can still pitch in and help those who are in need. This happened on occasions between inmates in the Concentration Camps.

I think a Christian should vote and if the party is against Christ you should be heard to be against such a one and only vote for a Christian values.

Sermons in the Churches in early colonial America were given on the importance of voting as a duty, not just a right or privledge.

Christ's enemies do not want us to vote. That way it becomes easier for them to sway the vote in their favor, ensuring tyrrany over us.

-- Absolutely ridiculous.

If Christians as a whole were more involved in politics, we would have overturned Roe vs. Wade by now and mllions of babies a year would not be murdered.
Also, gay marraige would not have moved from an offense to God to a "civil right" that will shortly become law of the land.

If Christians were involved and more vocal, they would not have become the scapegoat for all the ills of this country.
We would not have lost the right to pray in school or be forced to have a children taught about the benefits of alternate lifestyles as well as having them told how terrible their parents are for not supporting those lifestyles.

They would not be the subject of such TV series as "Good Christian B*******"

We as a nation and a world are doomed. Didn't have to wait for the move to know that. I read The Book.

Our job between now and that time is to help as many people as possible come to know Jesus.

When we are silent against laws that curtail Christian rights, we curtail the opportunities to share God's Word and thus more people pour into hell instead of being delivered into heaven.

When we don't speak out against those who call themselves Christians but support gay marraige, abortion, etc., then we allow those groups to be the ones seen as what Christians are. Millions will follow them because they like what these "Christians" stand for and what is required of them in order to be saved is minimized.

Only the Lord know how many of the people that have listened to those "Christians" thinking that since they agree then they too are Christians end up being surprised as where they are going to spend eternity when they die. This absolutely grieves me.

BECAUSE we are going to one day in the not-too-distant future be considered by our gov't as criminals and be imprisoned and face death we MUST do all we can before that comes to save as many souls as possible.

The more work we can do before we are marked as the enemy and curtailed, the more souls that will be saved.

When you stand before God and he asks you why you didn't do more to ensure that His influence remained strong in a nation that he has "shed His Grace on," I don't think He is going to accept, the argument that you "didn't feel led."
Amen to that...you speak the truth !!!

People see God as a bringer of peace to the world...for humanity's sake. This is wrong and backwards. Let the world get worse!!!! Maybe then some can actually wish to live for Christ instead of using Him to better this temporal world. Is Jesus a temporal politician with promises of a better carnal life here?? So many want Jesus to serve them instead of serving Christ. No one wishes to sacrifice or give...just take!!! Those who seek to use Jesus to provide a better world are actually enemies of the cross. Jesus came to bring fire to this world. Where are those who wish to give up their lives and rights in this world to actually become witnesses for Christ? The world is going to hell because there are no witnesses to the truth. Everyone just wants their version of the world to get forced on the others. A carnal church is useless..it is like salt that has lost it's saltiness, ready for the dunghill. That is the true legacy of what we are seeing in society today.

Then I hope you never complain that America has "lost it's way" and is no longer a Christian nation.

Yes but God often uses human means to accomplish His purposes...like voting to throw the bums out.

The politicians are all Criminals. Rick santorium and Rick perry were not floating right to me. I would love to stop gay marriage and birth control, but Eveyrone has free will and they have been warned.

Between now and the time true Christianity is outlawed and actual Christians are hunted, imprisoned, abused and killed, we need to vote at every opportunity for those that will support and not restrict Christian influence.

This will allow us to continue to get God's word out as much as possible for as long as possible, and help save as many souls as we can before it's too late.

Christians shouldn't be voting to make things better for themselves. Christians should be voting in order to help ensure as many people as possible can be reached and saved before it is too late.

The more time we have to be allowed to preach and share the Gospel, the more people will be saved.
If we can extend that time we are allowed to preach before eventual persecution and destruction, we MUST do so.
Souls of the lost depend on it.

I don't want to stand before God only to find out I could have ensured many more were saved if I had simply exercised my Constitutional right as an American.

I have been thinking about the up-coming presidential elections and it got me wondering about how Christian's are supposed to vote. What should we look for in a candidate. What should be deciding factors ?

Why would you cast a vote in the kingdom of darkness?
