There are many views regarding future events. Take a look at some of the "Preppers" which anticipate: Massive Erupting Volcanoes; Massive Earthquakes; Massive Hurricanes; Massive Tornadoes; Massive Civil Unrest; Massive Blackouts/Brownouts; etc. etc.

And so in Christianity where people take a single Word or Phrase, and develop an Entire Theology, -- without ANY Chapter context: Antiochus Epiphanes; Seven Continents; European Union; Ten World Regions; Ten U.S. Regions; etc. etc. But when asked to explain the other attributes depicted in the same Verses or Chapter, they run from the discussion. It never fails.

Consider the JWs who CORRECTLY identify the Dan. 2 FIVE WORLD EMPIRES, but simply point to some inconcise "Coalition of the Willing" as the FIFTH. And when asked WHO ARE the "Coalition of the Willing", they disappear. And when asked HOW it's possible that Dan. 2 says FIVE, but Dan. 7 says FOUR, that FIVE = FOUR?!? -- But they've already run from the conversation.

And it's not just the JWs, it's Christians who espouse their faulty doctrines BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEY'VE BEEN TAUGHT, -- BUT CAN'T EXPLAIN! So rather than question what they've been TAUGHT, they run away.


So where the rational mind would think THIS IS CRAZY; the experienced mind would know it's simply Human Nature, -- as dishonest as we are.

Addressing the OP, this is true, "BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEY'VE BEEN TAUGHT, -- BUT CAN'T EXPLAIN!"

I have seen this over and over, and when there belifs are exposed they say oh the scripture don't say that. it an excuse over and over.

I have found out, if Something is from God, it want change. the tell tale sign that it's not from the Lord is when a change is made or an excuse is made up.

people need to read for themselves and discuss his word not argue over his word. if what one believe is bible based, then it can stand the test.

as a well renouned teacher of the Law once said, Acts 5:39 "But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God."

that's a bad place to be in...... a loosing fight aganist God. yes, you will loose.

and the only rational mind is God, and we need to get his mind, Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

and how do one do that? 1 Corinthians 2:12 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."1 Corinthians 2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."1 Corinthians 2:15 "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man."1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."

Yet in all cases online, being blissfully ignorant is the same as claiming you have it all figured out. Those who accept the truth avoid the internet as a last day mental plague on humanity. If one with the truth, were to post online, they would be rejected by 100% of posters, because no one knows they are asleep to the truth. Thinking you are awake and being awake is not the same thing.
